Chapter 43.

Tony's POV

"You're fucking stupid, you know that?" I told Oli, holding the icepack one of the teachers gave me to his busted lip while he had his head tilted back to stop his nose bleeding.

"He annoyed me," he shrugged.

"That doesn't mean you have to hit him. You started this one, mate,"

"He fucked my girlfriend," Oli said through gritted teeth, letting his nose go and standing up.

"No he didn't!" I sighed, beginning to get frustrated. "He was lying!"

"And how do you know?"

"Because I do," I glared at him.

"Really? Do you know that my girlfriend is a lying, cheating bitch too?"

I grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the boys' bathroom wall.

"Listen here buddy. Bonnie is the most caring, beautiful girl I know, and if I ever hear you talk about her like that again, I won't hesitate to put even more damage on your body. Are we clear?"

"Everything's fucked up," I narrowed my eyes at him, loosening my grip a little. "She's ruining my life. Before she came along, Vic wouldn't of ever hit me over a girl. Before she came along, Tony Perry, you of all people, wouldn't ever threaten anyone. You can't even stand up for yourself for fuck's sakes!" I let go and stepped away from him, realizing he was right.

Before Bonnie, I wouldn't even dream of hitting anyone, especially one of my best friends.

"It's weird to think, innit? That a year ago it was just us. No girls, no emotions, no love. We've all become so attached to a girl that we changed. All of us changed,"

"You're right, Oliver. We have changed," I nodded. "But do you really care if you have or haven't? Bonnie's a big part of all of our lives, and you have to accept that. Austin loved her, Mike loved her, Vic, her best friend, is in love with her. And she chose you. If you actually believe that she would cheat on you, than you don't deserve her,"

"I know. And it's sick that I still don't believe Bonnie. I just have to hear it from her, not someone else,"

I shook my head in disbelief. "Let her go, Oli,"

"I can't. I love her to much." I sighed and left the bathroom, leaving Oli in there by himself.

The dance looked like it was back on, with students still dancing and having fun. I had to find Bonnie. I searched everywhere, including the girls bathroom where a girl screamed and threw a tampon at me. I'm glad she missed.

I seen Mike sitting with Stella, Vic and Jaime, and remembered that he chased after her when she ran. "Mike!"

He looked up and seen me approaching, passing the icepack he was holding on Vic's jaw to Jaime. I seen a giant bruise covering pretty much the whole of Vic's left side of his face.

Dang pretty boy, that's going to take some time to heal.

"Tone, what's up? How's the other douche?"

"Um, fine. His nose has finally stopped bleeding. It's not broken but it's going to swell pretty badly," I rambled, and then remembered why I came to talk to him in the first place. "Where's Bonnie?"

"Oh, she's outside in the lot," Mike shrugged. I looked at him, bewildered.

"You left her outside at this time of night wearing that dress alone? How stupid are you?"

"Relax Turtle. She'll be fine," he rolled his eyes.

"C'mon, show me where she is,"

"Fine," Mike pushed his way through the crowd while I followed. He opened the fire exit and walked out into the cool air.

"She's just - " Mike stopped and stared at the cigarette that was on the pavement. But there was no Bonnie.

"Where is she, Michael?"

"She was - She was right there!"

"How long ago did you leave her out here?" He mumbled something under his breathe, that I couldn't hear. "Mike? How long?"

"25 minutes," he finally said, looking at the ground.

"25 minutes?! Jesus, Mike. She's not inside, I've checked. We need to look for her. Where's your car?"

"I didn't bring mine. Used Vic's,"

"Seriously? So we have to go in there and steal the keys so Vic doesn't know Bonnie is missing. Could this night get any worse?"

"Well... Vic keeps his keys in his pant pockets, not his jacket pockets..."

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I let out a frustrated sigh. "Let's go."

Bonnie's POV

Mike went back inside about 10 minutes ago, and it was getting rather cold. I was about to stand up and head inside myself when I heard a voice.

"Are you okay?" I looked up and seen Eric Dale looking at me with concern.

"Fuck off, Eric," I rolled my eyes, standing up and making my way back to the building. Eric grabbed my arm and spun me around to face him.

"Have you been crying, doll?"

"Why do you care?" I spat.

"You still hate me?" he smiled, dropping my arm.

"Have you given me a reason to stop hating you?"

"I have stopped touching you in the hallways," he shrugged.

"You're such a jerk," I looked at him with disbelief. "The only reason you stopped is because you're scared of Austin. Yeah, I heard him talk to you. You shouldn't touch girls without their permission in the first place!"

"I only ever touched you,"

"Why? You like to torture me? To make me feel miserable?"

"I like you Bonnie," he grinned. He stepped a little closer. "You seem... fun,"

"I have a boyfriend," I backed up, away from his creepy stare.

"And I have a girlfriend," Eric shrugged. "You look like you've had a rough night. Come to a party with me,"

"Why would I go anywhere with you?" I scoffed.

"Well, firstly this is a shit dance. Second, we can get drunk and forget things for a while. What do you say?"

I chewed my bottom lip in thought.

"C'mon, I recall you used to be at every party there was 6 months ago,"

"Fine," I sighed. "But no funny business,"

"Wouldn't dream of it, babe."

After a 15 minute drive with Eric and his obnoxious friends, we arrived at a 2 storey house with loud dubstep music blaring and kids from the dance and other schools everywhere.

I stepped out of the car and made my way inside, following Eric.

"What do ya want babe?" I tried to ignore the annoying pet name and gave him a forced smile.

"Something heavy,"

"On it. Stay here," I nodded and watched him leave.

I looked around and sighed. It's been a while since I've been to a party, and I have kind of missed it.

The music, the people, the alcohol, the sex...

And most importantly, the fact that no one gave a shit who you were.

Eric came back a few minutes later with 2 drinks in hand, passing me a cup.

"What is it?" I asked over the music, swishing the odd looking liquid around in the cup.

"It's an Eric Dale special. Trust me, it's heavy shit," I nodded and took a mouthful, frowning at the taste but sighing in relief feeling that the unknown substance was very strong and I could feel it taking over already.

After downing the cup, I felt lightheaded.

"Another?" Eric asked. I nodded and he winked, taking my arm and dragging me to the bar.

I had about 4 of those drinks, and I was completely gone. Which was rather odd, as I was never a lightweight. Everything was bright and I just felt so happy. I needed to dance.

"Eric! Come dance with me!" I slurred.

"Whatever you want, babe," I grinned and took his hand, dragging him into the middle of half naked people dancing around crazily to the fun beat.

"Do you think my boyfriend gets sick of me?" I asked, staring at the lights that were changing colours.

Fascinating.

"He would be crazy if he did. Who wouldn't want you around?" Eric replied with an amused smile.

"Why have I never liked you before, Eric? You are... very nice," I nodded, patting his arm.

"I'm a nice person. And to prove that, I'm going to give you something,"

"Ooh, I'm getting a present? Is it a unicorn?!" I asked excitedly.

"Unfortunately not," he chuckled. "Come with me," Eric motioned me to follow him with his finger, so I did, sometimes tripping over my own feet.

He lead us out the back to a group of about 5 people surrounding something.

"Guys!" At the sound of Eric's voice, they all turned and waved at us.

"Who's this?" a guy asked, looking at me.

"Hi! I'm Bonnie!" I giggled, swaying on my feet. Maybe I can fly.

"Woah, do you think giving her this is a good idea?" another person asked, looking at me with concern. "She looks off her face,"

"It doesn't matter," Eric snapped, making the person shut up. I don't know if it was a lady or a man person. Maybe a snowman.

"Bonnie?" I looked at Eric and he gave me a smile. "Have you ever tried cocaine?" I looked up at the pretty stars and tried to think.

"No," I shook my head.

"Well, would you like to?" I knew that I should say no. Cocaine is bad.

"Yes," I slurred.

"Go ahead. You know how to do it, yeah?" I nodded and walked over to the table, seeing the white powder arranged in two neat lines. Taking a deep breath, I leaned over and snorted. I snorted a few more times to get it to the back of my throat and stood up straight. It felt rather unpleasant and uncomfortable, but that feeling soon went away.

"Can we go dance now?" I asked.

Mike's POV

"She isn't anywhere!" I sighed, throwing my fists against the steering wheel.

"We'll find her. We have to," Tony said, looking out the window.

After finally getting Vic to agree to give us the keys to his car, we have been searching for 40 minutes with still no signs of Bonnie.

"Um, Bonnie used to go to a lot of parties, right?" Tony asked.

"Yeah," I nodded. "To get her mind off things. Why?"

"Look," Tony pointed at a house with blaring music which we were just passing. I recognized a lot of faces that went to our school, and I pulled over to the side.

"Should we go look?" I looked at Tony for confirmation.

"Yeah, let's go." We unbuckled our seatbelts and got out of the car, locking it behind us. We made our way into the house, immediately greeted by the smell of alcohol, drugs and sweaty bodies.

Pleasant.

"This way," I tugged on Tony's arm and dragged him into rooms of the house, still not finding her. Just as we were about to give up, I seen her.

"There!" I pointed. She was dancing with a guy. Or more like dancing on a guy.

"Is that Eric Dale?" Tony asked in disbelief.

"I think so," I nodded. I pushed my way through the crowd of people with Tony and stopped in front of her, where she was grinding all over a overly happy Eric.

"Oi!" I whistled. They both opened their eyes and I grabbed Bonnie's arm, pulling her towards me. "Not yours to touch," I glared at Eric.

"Sorry man. Just having some fun," he shrugged with a smirk.

"Jesus Bon, what have you taken?" Tony demanded, pulling a hugging Bonnie away from him and looking into her eyes. I looked too, and seen how glazed over they were and her pupils had dilated to over half their original size.

"You," I turned to Eric with a hard stare. "What did you give her?"

"What's it to you?" he laughed, turning to walk away. I grabbed his arm in a tight grip and felt him wince.

"Maybe Austin and I should pay you a visit, eh?"

"Fine," he spat out. "I spiked her drink with Ecstasy, and she also had 2 lines of cocaine,"

"Are you trying to fucking kill her?" Tony glared, holding Bonnie's waist as she tried to run off.

"She's just having a little fun," Eric rolled his eyes.

"Let's get her home before I have to punch him. We don't need another fight," Tony picked up Bonnie and began carrying her outside while I followed.

"I think I need to puke," she said, and Tony immediately set her down, holding her hair back as she threw up into the gutter.

"Damnit Bon, what have you got yourself into..." I heard Tony mumble. I unlocked the car doors and Tony sat her in the backseat before climbing into the front.

"Drive."

I wasn't 5 minutes down the road when Bonnie started crying.

"They're all over me! Get them off!"

"There's nothing there," Tony assured her.

"Yes there is yes there is!"

"Bonnie! Stop scratching yourself!"

"I can't! They're all over me!"

"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Tony undid his seatbelt and climbed into the back, holding Bonnie to his chest.

"She's sweating and hallucinating," he informed me, out of breath.

"What should I do?"

"Hospital. Quick," I nodded and felt my heartbeat pick up, going faster than the speed limit.

"Shit, shit, shit! Bonnie!" Tony cried.

"What is it?!" I demanded in panic.

"She's having a fit! Mike you have to hurry!" I looked behind me for a second and seen Bonnie jerking around, her body moving unhealthily.

"I'm going to fucking kill him!"

Arriving at the hospital, everything felt like it was going in fast forward.

Getting out of the car, screaming for someone to help us, Bonnie being taken away. And here we are, sitting in a waiting room waiting for any news.

She could be dead.

I flinched and shook my head, trying to get that thought out of my head.

"You two," Tony and I immediately stood up, walking over to the nurse who called us.

"Is she okay?" we both asked.

"She's in stable condition. We pumped her stomach and she is going to be fine. We are just going to keep her in for a few days to monitor her in case she has another fit,"

"Oh thank God," I sighed in relief, leaning my head on Tony's shoulder.

"But as for you two, we need to ask a few questions,"

"Anything," Tony nodded.

"How did she get the drugs?"

"We don't know exactly. We were all at our prom and she left. Tony and I went to look for her and we found her at the party. We left pretty much straight away after we found her. A guy admitted to spiking her drink with Ecstasy, and then said she snorted 2 lines of cocaine after that, but we aren't sure who supplied it,"

"And who is this boy who spiked her drink?" the nurse asked, writing on her notepad.

"A guy from our school, Eric Dale,"

"Thank you. Before you go sit down, do you know who we could contact? A parent?"

"Uh, yeah. Her dad. I don't have his number though,"

"We have Bonnie's mobile if you'd like to call him off that,"

"Can you do it?" Tony asked sheepishly.

The nurse laughed. "Of course,"

I turned to Tony when we both sat back down. "Call the others?"

Bonnie's POV

My head was pounding, and I could hear a loud continuing beeping noise near my head.

I felt like absolute crap.

I slowly opened my eyes and let them adjust to the sudden whiteness of the room.

"Bonnie," I looked up and seen my father with a stern frown on his face.

"What am I doing in a hospital?" I asked, glancing at the many tubes sticking out of my body.

"You don't remember?" I shook my head.

"You went to prom. Your friends told me that you left without telling anyone to a party, and some boy from your school spiked your drink with Ecstasy and gave you cocaine,"

"No," I shook my head. Eric...

"What happened to me?"

"Tony and that Mike kid found you and was bringing you home when you started hallucinating. You had a fit, Bonnie," I closed my eyes and let it sink in.

It wasn't Oli who came after me?

"How long do I have to stay?"

"3 days. It's just to monitor your heart in case you have another fit," I nodded.

"Is Oli outside?"

"Yes. All of them are outside,"

"Why aren't they in here then?"

"Only 2 people at a time, and I'm your father so I wanted to be alone,"

"I want to see my friends now,"

"Bonnie - "

"I want to see my friends, Dad,"

He sighed and left the room, Oli's head poking through the door a minute later.

"Hi," he said quietly, sitting in the seat my Dad was before.

"Hey,"

"Is it true?" he asked after 2 minutes of silence.

"Is what true?" I furrowed my eyebrows, puzzled.

"Did you sleep with Vic?" My mouth gaped open and I stared at him in shock.

"You believe him?"

"Well, I'm not sure - "

I cut him off with a humourless laugh.

"I can't believe you would actually believe I slept with him," I shook my head.

"So you didn't?"

"Why would I ever cheat on you Oli? Believe it or not I'm not that kind of girl. I love you so much, but you don't trust me,"

"I do trust you," he whispered.

"I almost died last night, and the first thing you asked was if I cheated on you? Pathetic,"

"I'm the pathetic one? Bonnie, I'm sorry but I'm not the one who went to a party and was completely reckless and taking drugs,"

"My drink was spiked! I didn't choose to take drugs, you asshole!"

"Why would you go with Eric anyway, huh? Why would you ever think that was a good idea?" he demanded.

"I was upset and hurt. I was getting away from you. This is why I hate friends, Oli. Any kind of love hurts and I'm sick and tired of hurting all the time. Now if you don't mind, I want to see Mike and Tony, the only people who even bothered to care where I was." I spat.

Oli's face was set in a hard frown, and I noticed the injuries to his face.

A busted lip, a swollen and bruised nose and a black eye. He looked 5 years older.

With one last glare, he stormed out of the hospital room, slamming the door behind him.
