Deathbeds

So Far Gone My Mind Is Racing.

Lacie

I just about crawled out of bed today. Knowing it was bill week, and every penny I had saved over the last 3 weeks was all gone, just to stay in this crappy apartment in Sheffield. I was working part time in my local coffee shop and going to evening classes during the week studying photography I knew what I wanted to do. I had planned to travel the world with bands, taking pictures of them on stage feeling the rush they feel every night.

The shop was dead today as it was every Sunday but they still wanted to keep it open. I was sat out the back I heard the door ring out telling me that someone had just entered and by the noise it was a group of people. As I stepped into the shop front I froze. I couldn't move everything hit me at once all the feeling that I thought left. I painted a smile into my face despite the anger rising up through my body. He might not even remember me. I've changed so much.

"Hello, what can I get you?"

Oliver
It was Sunday we had just returned from a short tour filling pubs and clubs. One day oli one day. Was all I could tell myself one day we would be filling out arenas we just had to work hard we were going to make it. Hopefully.

We had all decided to drop the beat up van off at my place then head off round the corner to a coffee shop that Matt had told us about, we needed a way to cure our banging heads.

As soon as we entered the shop my nostrils were filled with the smell off coffee. It was a small shop with a few booth seated areas and two tables. I took in the girl stood at the counter I felt a connection towards her like I had known her before. I just wasn't sure where. It couldn't be her she had moved on. She left 4 years ago. She wouldn't come back here, not to work in a small place like this. That's not what she would have wanted, that wasn't the life she would have chose. I shook the thought out of my mind and Matt ordered the drinks I went and sat down with my 3 other band mates.

"Do you guys recognize the girl at the counter?"

They all took a look as she was passing Matt our drinks. They stayed silent. Apart from when I asked Matt the same question.

"It's her oli it's Lace"

"It can't be she moved on after school."

Matt looked at the others. He took in a lengthy breathe.

"That's just what we had to tell you. So you would stop acting so depressed and we could get our band sorted. You would have never left that sofa unless you thought you would find her again. We never expected her to still be here. Anyway why do you care so much?"

"This is a joke right?! You have not been lying to me all this time? I could have worked things out. Clearly she is still around here. I don't care I'm just pissed that you never told me."

"You never had a chance Sykes. Do you think we would have still been a band if you two had stayed together? You would have never left this place."

"I don't want to hear anymore"

I basically ran out of the shop. Of course I still cared for her. They had been lying to me all this time without me even realizing. I would probably never get the chance to explain myself to apologize, I didn't blame her for not wanting me near her. I did the worse thing possible to her.

I finally found her, I had found my Lacie.

Of course Matt Nichollas would bring him here.

"Just 5 coffees coffees please Lace."

"Sure thing Matt, why have you brought him with you?"

"I didn't realise you worked Sunday's"

"Yet here I am"

"Drop the sarcasm Lace. It doesn't suit you sweet."

I turned my back on to him making his order. I knew he was joking but I didn't want to start getting friendly with him. It could only lead to things getting to complicated. It was too much to handle as soon as I finished making the coffees I walked out the back to sit down and catch my breathe a little bit.

My my mind was racing. Yes of course I missed him. I never got over losing him but I had to remember he doesn't want me. He never wanted me.

Lol well I'm glad he's okay.

Ik it was too good to hope they started getting close. They gave things to work out and she doesn't trust him. But I hope they can be happy eventually, or at least not let this drag them down

@piercingirisash
Not sure how it happened but the chapter messed up, trying to rush it cause I had to leave work

Wait what? He got dragged into the house? Um okay what's going on here! He better not be hurt, they're finally making progress

It's cool how they're both struggling with these unresolved feelings but don't realize it. I also like that you didn't just push them back together just because they actually had a decent conversation for once. I wonder what happened for him not to show up. This should be good.

@Kellyrages
I know how I want it. Also the things that are going to happen I just don't want it to be a generic story were everything works out because that's not how life works! I want it I be a story of how life really is not just how everyone thinks it is.

You know what I meant?
If anytime of that seemed rude it's not supposed to be just stressed arm xxx
