Chapter 2
Ryders Pov:
I wake up to my phone ringing
"Hello"
"Hey Ryder it's Austin"
"Oh hi"
"Are you busy today?"
"Was just planning on spending the day with Ty"
"Oh well do you guys want to get breakfast and go to the zoo?"
"Uhm sure I think he'd love that"
"Alright just text me the address and I'll come get you guys"
"Okay thanks Austin"
"No problem" click.
"Ty baby wake up"
"Why mama?"
"Because we're going to breakfast with a friend of mine"
"Okay mama" Ty rolls over and smiles at me.
Shortly after that we got up and got dressed and I text Austin to come get us
"Ty, I really like this guy and I want to get to know him more, but I won't do that if you don't like him Okay?"
"Okay mama"
Austin arrives and I let him in
"So you must be Ty" he says looking at my little man
"And you must be the mystery man my mom was talking about" Austin looks at me and then back at Ty
"I'm Austin it's nice to meet you" he holds his hand out for Ty to shake but my son just puts his fist out "knuckles, bro are we that cool already?" Austin laughs giving Ty his fist bump that he wants "As long as you treat my mama right then yes" we all laugh and head down to Austins car
~At Breakfast~
"So Ty what are you into?" Austin asks
"Well in case my mom hasn't told you I'm a skateboarding prodigy, and I love old rock, I'm also a huge fan of The Offspring"
"Wow your mom is raising you right" he chuckles as the food arrives. We eat and then sit there and talk for a little
"Alright guys let's head to the zoo"
We all get back in the car
"Mama can we listen to Slipknot please?"
"Not my car buddy"
"Ty of course we can listen to Slipknot" Austin says turning on the music.
~30 minuets later~
"Alright kiddo we're here"
"Yay!" Ty unbuckles himself and we all get out of the car.
Once we're inside the zoo Austin holds my hand and walks with Ty and I.
"hey bud why don't you go a head of your mom and I"
"Alright" Ty runs a head of us just far enough that he won'y be able to hear us
"I'm really glad you guy decided to come with me"
"Me too it's been a while since I've seen him smile like that"
"Why's that?"
"His dad passed away 2 years ago he was still little but his dad was the only male at that time that he felt close to, it's been rough"
"Wow...I'm so sorry, how'd it happen?"
"He was shot on Christmas eve on his way home from the toy store"
"Oh my...." I feel the tears brimming my eyes and apprently Austin saw them because he just wrapped me up in a hug
"Sorry for pushing you to talk Ryder"
"It's fine" I pull away and we catch up to Ty.
After we went and looked at a few more animals I decided Ty and I should probably be heading home, after all Ty has school tomorrow.
"Well I'm glad I got to meet you Ty, we should hang out again sometime soon alright bud?"
"Sure Austin" Ty says unbuckling and opening the door "Wait by the door little man I'll be up soon" Ty closes the door and runs up the stairs
"Thank you Austin, we had fun today" I kiss him on the lips
"Anytime Ryder, I really like you and hope that we can see each other more"
"How about tomorrow while Ty's in school, I have to go birthday present shopping and that's the only time I have available"
"I'm in what time should I pick you up?"
"About 11:30 that work?"
"Yeah, and if you want we can grab dinner tomorrow night then. Ty,you,and me" I nod and he kisses my cheek I get out and go upstairs.
