Save Me

Ryders Pov:
I was practicing with my band Seven Days Long in my best friend Micky's studio when I felt my phone go off for the millionth time. "Guys! Guys! Stop the music!" I pulled my phone out and looked at the caller I.D. I answered "Tyler, I can't talk right now. Mama is rehearsing, hand the phone to Jenny & go play. I'll be home soon I promise"
" Yes mama love you"
" Love you too Ty" click
"Ryder was that Ty again?" Micky asks me concerned
"Yes"
"Why don't you go home and be with him"
"Because I need this, guys I barley go anywhere anymore, Since Dani died I haven't picked up my mic or even sung exsept to Ty"
"Okay, well do you maybe want to go on a double date with me? One of Alan's best friends is single and he might have seen a picture of you and wanted me to ask you out for him"
"Who is this guy?"
"His name is Austin, he's covered in tattoos, and he's in the band with Alan"
"I'm in. When is it?"
"This Saturday" After that we rehearsed for about an hour and then I decided to go pick up my little man and go to my parents house like we do every Thursday night.
~ At Ryders Parents House~
"Hey mom, I have a date this Saturday" I say helping my mom wash dishes
"That's amazing Ryder"
"If Jenny isn't available can you guys watch little man?"
"Of course just text me if you need me to" my mom and I finish washing the dishes and Ty and I head out
"So buddy, mama has a date this Saturday"
"Really? Who's watching me?"
"Either Jenny or Gran& Gramps"
"Jenny! I want Jenny to watch me" I laugh
"Mama, can you play Offspring please?"
"Sure buddy"
~Saturday~
"Okay Jenny thanks for watching him. Um he has his shows recorded on the DVR,and if he wants I left him a cupcake in the fridge, other than that you got everything right?"
"Yes Ryder"
I walk out to my car and get in, wow I'm nervous, the last time I was this nervous was my wedding day.
It's a 20 minuet drive, I play some Pink Floyd to calm down and didn't realize that I started singing along.
~20 Minuets later~
I pull up outside of Applebee's and quickly find a place to park. I get out of my car and walk inside
"Ryder! Over here!" Micky yells for me so I walk over to her, Alan, And Austin I have a seat next to Austin
"Hey Alan you want to join me out front for a smoke?" Micky asks breaking the silence
"Yea babe let's go" Micky and Alan get up and walk out so I move to where I'm facing Austin
"You look stunning, Ryder"
"Thank you, you look amazing yourself"
We started talking and laughing and time passed so fast it was like Dani all over again and that made me really happy, I looked at my phone to check the time "Austin it's 11:30 I should probably get home"
"Mind if I join you?"
"No but my son might"
"You have a son?"
"Yes, is that going to be a problem?"
"No, but I'd love to meet him sometime, after we go on a few more dates" Austin smiles and I just can't stop looking at him. He's so gorgeous. I stand up and Austin does to "I'll at least walk you to your car" He holds my hand and walks me out to my car "Would it be a bad idea for me to try and kiss you right now?"
"No" I say leaning against my car suddenly his face is close to mine looking me right in the eyes and I crash my lips into his standing on mt tippie toes so I can reach. After we're done kissing I unlock my car door and he opens it for me, I get in and he shuts it. I leave wondering when I'll see him again.
When I get home little man jumps and runs over to me
"Not in bed yet Ty?"
"No mama,Jenny let me stay up to see you"
"Okay well go to bed I'll be in there shortly to tuck you in" Ty runs off to his room
"Hey Jenny"
"Hey Ryder, are you made that I let him stay up?"
"No actually, thank you for that"
"Date go bad?"
"No it went awesome, I think I'm going to go out with him again" I pay Jenny and she leaves I go to tuck Ty in but he's not in his bed I walk to my room to see Ty passed out I crawl into bed with him and fall asleep.
