The First Punch

As Lian and I stood side stage at the PTV set we listened while they played. We were coming to the end of Bulletproof Love, the last song. When the song ended Jaime went up to the microphone.
“So hey guys! How’s Warped going?!”Jaime slightly yelled into the mic, while the fans screamed. Jaime ushered the crowed to quiet down
“So today is a very special day for me on tour. The most amazing woman that I know is here. Lian can you come out here?” He motioned for her to get out on stage. The whole crowed awed and she looked to me as if to ask what was going on. I just smiled and waved her to go.
Lian looked at Jaime who was now right in front of her. She mouthed the words ‘what is this?’. Jaimes tech went up to him and took his bass.
“Lian I have loved you, ever since we were 16. With you in my life I’m happier and I don’t seem to have any problems. You are the most important person in my life and I don’t know what I would do without you here, with me.” Jaime dropped to his knees and pulled a ring out of his pocket. The whole crowed awed even more. He looked into her eyes. “Lian, will you marry me?”
Lian must be crying because, even though she has her back to me, I saw her hands go up to her face and wipe her eyes. Her head nodded. She stuck out her hand and he slid the fairly sized ring on her finger. Jaime got up and pulled Lian into a hug. I could see tears welling up in her eyes.
The crowed erupted into applause and awes.
“Thank you guys! Have a great day at Warped!” Vic yelled into the mic, the crowd went wild, and the whole band and Lian walked off.
