The First Punch

At the tent currently is Vic, Tony, Jaime, Ray, and I. Oh and a lot of fans that weren’t able to go to the signing so they just kind of found them here at the tent. The occasional fan would buy merch but most didn’t. So Ray and I’s job was to sit and watch the band sign random objects.
One of the fans who came by the tent got her backpack signed. When she got to Tony she started to talk to him. The girl introduced herself as Bailey.
She told him about her struggle with depression and anxiety. And her story of how earlier this year she attempted suicide. She then took off her phone case and took out a razor blade that was behind the case. Her hands were shaking as she gently passed the blade to Tony. I watched her closely as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to cry. I'm sorry Tony!" She said covering her face.
"Awe, Bailey. Don't be sorry! You are so strong for giving up your razor to me. I'm so proud of you." Tony said sympathetically. He quickly got up and wrapped his arms around Bailey. He rubbed her back to comfort her, and she soon calmed down.
"Tony, can I talk to Alexandria? She has helped me so much. just with her story and how she's made it through." She looked up to Tony.
"Of course." Tony looked to me and smiled, giving me a wink.
I came from behind the table and went to Bailey. I asked where she wanted to talk and she said wherever as long as it was private. So I took her to the area by the Monster energy truck that was just a small paved parking lot. We sat under a tree for shade and we started to talk.
I learned that she is 16 and has been depressed since she was 8, and has been self harming since she was 8. When she was younger her and her mother were abused by her father; but they got away from him. She told me how my story, which is very similar to her's, gave her hope to live. After she was done telling me basically her life story I scooted closer to her and pulled her into a hug.
"Oh and my boyfriend is in a band too! They're not that big yet but they're signed!" She said very proudly.
"What band? I might know them!" I asked quickly.
"Crown The Empire, I'm with Andy. The band is from Texas but Andy was here a year ago and we met and we've been together for like a year now!" She looked down trying to hide her smile.
"Oh I know them. And.. I assume you know about Tony and I?" I laughed.
"Yeah.. You two are very cute together.. I can see you're a lot happier with him than you ever were with Mike.”“Yeah I am. I’m so much happier Bailey.” I smiled.
I looked over my shoulder to see the boys coming towards us. So much for this being a private area. Once the boys got near us they all sit down with their backs towards the main grounds, so no one can tell that they are who they are.
“Hey Bailey! How are you doing? Any better?” Tony asked concerned.
“I’m a lot better now. Thank you guys so much. It feels so good to actually talk about what happened to me with someone who went through relatively the same thing. I’m so happy that I have gotten the chance to meet you guys!” She beamed
“Can I see your phone Bailey?” I asked
“Sure… Why?” She said unlocking her phone and reluctantly passing it to me.
I went to her contacts and put my number in her phone.
“Call me or text me whenever you want, I’m here for you!” I passed her back her phone and we all got up.
“Motionless In White starts in 20 minutes and I want to get a fairly good spot, so I think I’m gonna go! Thank you guys so much! I will defiantly be in contact with you Alex!” She waved and walked away.
“She was sweet. Are you actually gonna talk to her though Alex?” Jaime turned to me.
“Of course! I would love to get to know her more. And she lives like 2 hours away so its not like we are too too far away. Do you think Mike is calm now? So you guys can go to the bus.”
“I don’t know really. I kind of want to go to the MIW set right now. Anybody else wanna come?” Jaime suggested
“I’ll come, Tone you want to go? Or do you want to spend time with.. Alex..?” Vic rolled his eyes and looked to Tony for an answer to his question.
“Uhm.. I’ll go with you guys. I really want to see Ricky and Ryan.” Tony turned to me, gave me a kiss and they left to go to MIW.
I was walking back to the tent when I saw Austin and Alan from Of Mice walking in front of our tent. I quickly walked over to the tent and wrapped my arms around Austin.
“Are you okay? What did that bastard do to you? And who told you about Mike abusing me?” I rushed looking up into his eyes. He chuckled.
“I’m fine, he thinks he’s tough when really he’s just dead inside. He has no fucking consideration for anyone. But uh yeah Vic told me when he went to the buses after his set. He looked pissed off.”
“Can I tell you something though?” He nodded.
I pulled him under the tent and Alan followed then went to talk to Ray, acknowledging our want for privacy.
“What is it Alex?” He looked concerned.
“Well the day we left for tour Vic told me that he has always cared about me. But like I don’t know if he means as just friends or like… really cared about me. I really don’t want to hurt him but I thought he had never noticed me. And I just love Tony.. So Austin I have no clue what to do.” I leaned into his chest. He rubbed my back.
“Do you want me to ask him for you? I mean him and I are good friends. Where is he now?”
“Would you really Austin? He’s at MIW with Tony and Jamie.” I looked up to him, into his eyes.
“Anything for you Alex; you’re like my sister.” I smiled.
“Thanks Austin.”
He smiled down at me and we went towards the merch table.
“I think we are gonna go to the MIW set. Bye guys. I’ll talk to you later Alex.” Austin and Alan made their way through the crowd, trying not to be noticed, but failing.
