Leaving the cave, going into the unknown

Somehow I had fallen asleep on Alan’s back but was woken up when I was placed down on a soft cushion. I opened my eyes to see Alan start to place a blanket on me, looking around it seems I was in their tour bus.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you up. I thought I’d just let you sleep, you looked so tired.” He said sitting next to me on the couch, taking my legs and putting them on his lap.

“No it’s fine I wanted to meet everyone else anyway and I shouldn’t be sleeping on random couches. Thanks for carrying me though, I would have probably just fallen asleep standing up or something.” I laughed.

“Well it’s a good thing your trusty steed was there to transport you.” He said bowing his head to me. I took the opportunity to ruffle his hair to which he responded by looking up at me and smiling.

“I’m sorry that I don’t have any carrots to feed my horse with, I’m afraid that I’m quite unprepared tonight.” He started to laugh and shake his head with a huge smile on his face.

Behind me I heard a door open and the familiar sound of Kate’s heels clicking on the floor with the sound of laughter behind her.

“Alex there you are! Did you like the concert? I saw you get thrown into the crowd are you ok?” Kate said as fast as lightening as she sat down on the couch across from us while the other guys followed. I sat up so I was sitting down next to Alan so more people would have room to sit down. I recognized Austin and the rest of the band that I had yet to formally meet.

“Ya it was really great and crazy, you guys were awesome. And I’m fine just some miss-communication between me and some guy but it was pretty awesome.” All I wanted to do on the inside was take a nap but I still really wanted to be out and talk to everyone. I wasn’t used to this feeling, usually by now I’d be begging Kate to go home. I think that’s why she had this strange look on her face like she was confused that I was so happy. Even though every time she drags me out to stuff like this she hopes that I’ll have a good time but until now I haven’t so it must be very strange for her.

“Well I’m glad!” she said with a huge smile, while looking back and forth from Alan to me to the arm that I hadn’t noticed had been around me this whole time. I had to admit Alan was pretty smooth, I just looked over at him and he smiled down at me and I blushed and moved into his side a little more. It was crazy how much small innocent movements had made me feel so close and confortable with someone I had just met. I never take to people this easily but I felt like I knew him for years.

“Oh ya Alex this is Tino, Phil and Aaron; you didn’t get to meet them earlier I was way to into mama bear mode when you came in hurt, sorry about that.” Kate was always like that with me, my parents were really busy theses days so I didn’t get to see them very often, Kate took over as a best friend/ protective parent. Whenever I would come home from a guy kicking me to the curb after I would sleep with him she would be there with a tub of ice cream and my favorite movie.

“It’s nice to meet you! You guys were incredible!”

“Nice to meet you too, I’m glad you liked the show Kate told us you’ve never been to a rock show before?” Tino questioned.

“Ya this was the first one, I don’t get out too much.”

“Glad we could break your cherry.” Alan said while squeezing my shoulder, I went bright red as everyone chuckled.

“Oh hush Alan, I’m glad you like the show Alex I saw you rocking out side stage then in the crowd, we’ll make a fan out of you yet.” Austin smiled as he lightly slapped Alan’s shoulder.

“Well I have the attire for it so I guess I should start listening to the music now.”

We all talked and drank together and I felt like I was a part of the group, not once had Alan’s arm left my shoulder. The butterflies in my stomach were near to exhaustion after all the flapping around they had done this evening.

It had only felt like 10 minutes but it had really been an hour and Kate announced that we should really be going as she had a shoot the next day and she could see that I was falling asleep on Alan. I nodded my head and got up from my extremely comfy body pillow that was Alan. They all stood up with us and walked us to our car after hugging everyone I was left with one final goodbye, Alan.

“I had a really great time tonight thanks.” I said while looking up into his eyes a tiny smirk on my lips.

“Well I think I owed you a great night after all the shit that happened earlier.” He took me into his arms and started to whisper in my ear.

“I’ll text you until we get back from tour, we only have a week left then I’ll be back to take you out on that date I oh so promised for injuring you.” I just laughed into his shoulder and squeezed him. Eventually we had to let go and I got back into the passenger seat of Kate’s car. As we drove away I looked into the rearview mirror to see all the guys nudging Alan and teasing him about me, it was cute.

“I’m glad to see you got along so well with Alan, finally my plan is working mwahaha!” Kate and I started to laugh as we drove home. This time when I looked out at the LA nightlife I just smiled and thought of all the good times ahead of me. When we arrived home I jumped into bed, well not really jumped I was far too tired for that it was really more like a belly flop. I pulled out my phone to charge it when I saw that I had received a text from Alan.

Alan: Sweet dreams, number one fan :P

All I could do was smile at that while I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep dreaming of all the adventures I had that night.
