Mom's POV

Where were they? Where are they?

I made my way through the crowds, barely moving at a slow meander. I was running out of time. It was just about ten, and the night was already suffocating us. Many people stuck around, talking to three band members.

Where were the other two?

(You won't make it)

Rae, she had to be here somewhere. I had to find her. Maybe I could find LP with her as well. No, maybe I needed to find Austin first. Yes, if I found Austin or Alan, then they would be there safe and sound!

(I have to make it)

My panic was increasing when I saw a moving figure twenty feet away. They were on the opposite side of the gate. Their quick movements alerted me to the fact they didn't want to be seen.

(They have to be there)

Go, go, go, go. I made myself go faster, slipping through a crowd, flashing something that could easily be mistaken as a pass. Tino, Phil, and Aaron didn't even notice. I saw the back of a familiar jacket. They were there.

(No time to waste)

Go, go, faster, keep going, they're there....I had to make it. As I rounded the edge of the fence, I saw the dark alley. A tall lanky figures stood next to a pale blonde girl. A fiery headed ginger was near both of them. On the side closest to me, I noticed a heavily tattooed figure, LP, and my husband. On the opposite side were five other figures. They were to busy focused on the three standing in the middle of their threatening circle to notice me.

(Time will run out)

I hung near the edge, listening to them talk. It took all my willpower to hear what they were speaking of.
