Product of a Murderer, You Stole Everything From Me

Hey people! Try listening to this song: Product of a Murderer by OM&M! Listen while you read!

Beth Croft's (Mom's) POV

The sirens wailed. I did to. There was nothing I could do, they were gone. Rae, she was in California, and I didn't know if she was safe or not.

My Lily-Pearl, she was gone. My sweet, innocent, darling child, so shy and quiet. All I could think is if I would ever see her again. The police outside did their best to find her. I nearly lost Rae when she was shot, and I thought LP would grow up without her sister to coach her through life. Now I was afraid my poor oldest daughter and I would die of a broken heart, the loss of the youngest.

"Miss, we found this." A police officer held a dirty envelope out to my hands. There were three cops standing by their cars. This was the third day they were out here. Tomorrow, they said they would bring the search back to their offices.

I saw my daughter's phone on the counter. She had left it before being taken, or going away. I saw the messages from Ginger Princess and I didn't reply. I couldn't bare to think what it would do if I told the boy about her.

"Thank you." I sniffed through my puffy red eyes and stuffed nose. I took the letter back into the kitchen, pouring myself a glass of tea in the dark of the evening. The cop cars outside were already pulling away. For a faint hope, I looked at the crumpled letter and thought maybe it was from LP, telling me where she went, if she ran off.

I couldn't bare to think she was taken.

It was all my fault, for sleeping and not keeping an eye on her.

I took the note in shaking hands and unfolded it.

Beth,
She's in California. We know Rae's there, and now we're there with Lily-Pearl. If you really care for your children, you'll come retrieve them yourself. Come here and pay the ransom for getting them back. I'm sure you'll figure out where they are.

We'll see you soon.

I barely finished reading the note before I had grabbed the keys and bolted to the car. I was getting my daughters back. I backed the car back out and through the drive, already speeding on the empty roads. My phone pulled up the directions to the destination. I already knew the city they would be in.

No one could stop me.

Notes

Mom's POV!!! Sorry it's short, but I hope you liked it!

(No, she didn't die for four days or was asleep through it, she was worrying, just as any mother should!)
