Chapter Sebengy-Four

Brooklyn

I was sitting at home waiting for Emily to get back and then I was bringing her out to

lunch then to the studio.

There was a knock at the door and I got up walking over to it.

"Brooklyn!" Emily yelled and ran to me wrapping her arms around my waist.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around her I waved to her grandmother, who just rolled

her eyes and got in the car.

"Hey Em! How was staying at your grandparents?" I asked grabbing her bags and

bringing her inside.

Emily sat on the couch and sighed, "It was boring and they were kinda mean. They

didn't like the music I was listening to or the clothes I wore. And they made me go to

church with them, they forced me Brooklyn!"

I smiled and sat down next to her, "Well they didn't know what you liked or didn't like.

Now how about lunch and then you are coming with me to the studio."

She nodded and got up running out the door before I had the chance to stand up.

I laughed and stood up grabbing my keys.

*Time Skip*

I was in the booth trying to switch around some lyrics in my mind.

This would be so much easier if it wasn't the last day of recording. Emily told me a lot

about her trip and I think she doesn't want to stay with her family.

I would love to adopt her but I'm not sure what Austin wants.

I take deep breath and look up as I see everyone clapping.

"Very nice!" Aleah said.

I nodded and grabbed my guitar tuning it.

"So, one more song and we are done." Matthew said.

I walked out of the booth and sat on the couch next to Emily.

"Can we take a break so I can call Austin and Emily can talk to him?"

They nodded and I grabbed my phone scrolling through my contacts till I got to Austin's

name.

Austin: "Hello, Mrs.Carlile!"

I smiled, "Hey Mr.Carlile! I have someone here who wants to talk to you."

I gave the phone to Emily, "Hey, Austin!"

Austin: "Hey Emily! I miss you so much, how was your time with your grandparents?"

Emily: "It was so not fun! They made me go to church and they didn't like my music and

they were kinda mean. But, I miss you and I missed Brooklyn but now I'm with her just

missing you."

Austin laughed, "Yeah, well you will see me soon. It was definitely weird not having our

little family."

I bit my lip and looked down at the ground. So, he did think of us as a family maybe he

would want to adopt her?

Emily: "Yeah! Well how is tour going?"

Getting up I decided to go back in the booth to record the last song with Matthew. I

kinda felt bad about Aleah not singing a lot this album but she was thankful because her

throat has been bothering her so.

Matthew came in and nodded at Drew.

Matthew: She's on the prowl.

She wants it all & she'll stop at nothing!

Everyone knows she's well aware of the fact that her self respect was long lost on her

search for something.

One track mind, it's disgusting that she thinks she's got it all figured out,

but what she doesn't know is that to us she's just another one of them.

Matthew and Me: I can feel her staring at me from across the room.

She's got the worst of intentions & she smells like trouble & cheap perfume.

"We fucking finished!" I yell as everyone cheers and Matthew and I run out of the booth

while we all group hug.

"Okay, this album is going to be sweet! I'm going to send it to the label and then we go

from there remember tour is the week of the release date of the album!" Gabe said.

We all nodded and I gave everyone a hug.

"I just wanted to say that I love working with all of you. You are my family and I love

that we can be in a band together and make music and make people happy. Seriously, I

love working with you and thank you so much!" I said.

All of us talked a little more and then we left to go out for a celebration dinner.
