Two Wrongs Don't Make It Right

I stumbled around clutching the half full red cup I had in my hand. I was slightly wasted and was trying to find Austin. I continued to walk around, looking around I saw a very familiar red head. I set my course and headed in that direction.

“Alan!” I shout trying to get his attention. He turns around and smiles when he sees me. It falters when he sees how intoxicated I am.

“Hey Autumn. Where is your boy toy?” He asks looking around. I shrug closing my eyes swaying some.

“I don’t know I was looking for him but then I saw you. I was hoping you would know where he was.” I tell him grabbing his shoulder for support.

“Let’s get you to the bus.” He says as he wraps his arm around my waist and we start to head toward the buses.

“Thank you Alan.” I mumble.

“Anytime love, I know Austin wouldn’t want you wandering around in this state.” He replies. “Plus you know I love ya and want you to get hurt or have some sleaze ball take advantage of you.” I smile up at him.

We get to the bus and he opens the door. I manage to stumble up the stairs and sit on the couch. We hear soft moans, I giggle, Tino or Phil must have found someone at the party and brought them back here.

“Give me your phone.” I fish around in my pocket before handing it over to him. “I am going to tell Chloe you’re going to spend the night with us.”

After he sent the text he scrolls through something on my phone, tapping it he presses it to his ear. A shrill ring blares through the bus. Alan’s face pales. I look at him confused as he hands me my phone back. I look down to see that he had been calling Austin. The ringing from the back of the bus continues and it clicks in my head. My stomach drops and I feel like I am going to be sick. I immediately sober up and bring myself to my feet.

I start to walk to toward the back lounge. Alan grabs my arm but I shake him off and continue toward the back of the bus. I slide the door open. My jaw drops open at the sight before me. Tears start to prick my eyes.

Austin is sitting on the couch with a girl straddling him. I slam the door the rest of the way open letting them both know someone was there. The girl turns around.

“Excuse me. Can’t you see we are a little busy?” She slurs.

“Man go away we’ll be done…”He starts to say with his eyes closed but stops dead when he opens them and sees it’s me standing there not one of his band members. “Autumn.”

“What the fuck are you doing?” I scream at him.

“Baby listen, it’s not what it looks like.” He says pushing the girl off him and pulling up his pants. He makes a noise as he hits the floor and I laugh.

“Really? Because I am pretty sure it looks like you were fucking some skank in the back of your tour bus.” I seethe. He starts to come toward me. “No don’t you fucking dare. Don’t touch me Carlile. We are over. Do you understand me? Don’t call me, don’t text me, and don’t even think about trying to come see me.”

I walk away with tears spilling down my face. I grab and squeeze Alan’s hand as I walk by before making my way off the bus. I hear Austin calling my name.

“Leave me alone Austin.” I yell back to him. Alan grabs him telling his to let me go. I pull out my phone and dial Chloe’s number.

“Hey girl I thought you were staying with Austin tonight.” She says happily.

“Where are you?” I ask trying to keep my voice from breaking. I hear rustling and he shush the boys in the background. She knows something is wrong.

“Autumn, what happened? I am at Pierce’s bus. I’ll step outside so it’s easier to find.” She says hanging up. I look around a little before I see her come off a bus a little ahead of me. I run to her and cling onto her like my life depended on it.
