Two Wrongs Don't Make It Right

I jumped around side stage trying to get the nerves to leave my body. I shook my arms out and looked over at Austin as he laughed at me. I glared at him.

“What’s so funny?” I asked.

“It’s just weird that the rolls are reversed. Normally it’s me jumping around getting pumped and you sitting side stage in support. Now it’s the other way around.” He says walking over to me and wrapping me in his arms. I smile against his chest as I slide my arms around his waist.

“Were you nervous before your first big show?” I mumbled.

“I actually threw up I was so nervous.” He admitted.

I pulled back and looked at him surprised. I would have never thought that he got that nervous. He seemed so at ease when he was on stage. He was definitely meant to be there, it was his calling. I loved watching him preform.

“Really? That actually helps me a lot. You are so comfortable up there.” I tell him.

“I wasn’t so confident back then. We were still new, I wasn’t sure if they were going to like us or not.” He says.

I turn when I hear the song end and Kellin start to talk into the microphone.

“Okay guys I have a special guest to bring out. Some of you may know her and if you don’t, go visit her at her clothing line Wilted Lily’s booth after you are done here. I was walking around this morning and I heard one of our songs playing as I got closer I all I heard was her singing. I was floored with how great it was. So I kind of begged and pleaded to sing with us until she caved and said yes.” He turned toward side stage and looked at me. “Autumn wanna join me out here?”

I turned around and kissed Austin as he said ‘good luck’ I walked out onto the stage. I looked out at the crowd. There were probably about 450 people standing there.

“Autumn this is Denver, Denver can you give it up for Autumn?” He screamed into the mic. In response the crowd started cheering causing me to smile. “Are you ready?” Kellin asks me. I smile and nod my head. He motions for the guys to start playing. “This song’s called ‘With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear’.”

Kellin started to jump around and smile. We had decided to sing the chorus together and split the verses up. He sang first and as the chorus got closer I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened them as I started to sing the nerves I had at the beginning disappeared.

I started to jump around more and I snuck a peak at Austin. He was smiling like an idiot.

It’s written on my heart for everyone to see” [/i]I sang looking at Austin and winking at him. He smirks back.

Kellin joined in as the chorus came back around. He nodded his head toward the crowd and I nodded. After we finished the song we both took a short run and a big jump into the crowd. They caught us and I smiled loving the feeling of being on stage. I could now see why Austin loved what he did so much.
