Repeating Apologies

Tino walked out of Austin's hospital room and walked toward me. He smiled, "Guess what!"

"What?" I asked softly.

"Austin and Shae are together!" He screamed quietly.

"W-what?" I asked in confusion.

"Yeah! He might not remember it later, but it happened."

"C-can you go get her for me?" I sighed softly.

Tino walked into Austin's room and got Shaelynn. She walked out and looked at me. What was I going to say to her? Should I confront her? There are so many thoughts going through my head right now...

"We need to talk. Now." I said simply, walking outside.

"About?" She was following me.

"So, you're just going to hurt my best friend?"

"Hurt him? How am I hurting him?"

"Shae! You're with me! And right then, you just said you'd be with Austin. Yeah, I know. I understand that you love Austin, but you just met him. You've known me for years!" I screamed.

"Alan, I never said I'd be yours. You kissed me before I was able to finish." She sat down on a bench.

"Finish then."

~Shaelynn's POV~

"C'mere." I said softly.

He came over and sat down with me, "Tell me what you didn't finish."

I sighed sadly, "I never gave you a yes or no answer. We had something long ago, and now we need to move on. Yes, i do love you and I do miss everything we had, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that again. I know the band will go on tour, but the band will always come back home. And Austin will always come back to me. Back then, I didn't know when you would return, so I just gave up hope. You stopped sending me letters and I stopped waiting. I'm sorry Alan, but my answer is no."

There was a tear rolling down his cheek, "I-I understand..."

"Alan, please don't be mad at me." I looked at my feet.

"I'm not, Shae-bug. I'll always love you, but I want you to be happy. And if Austin makes you happy, then be with him. Yes, I may be jealous from time to time, but who wouldn't be? You're hot as hell and any guy would die to have you." He smiled and hugged me.

"Aww! I love you too, Ala-kitty." I giggled, blushing.

"Let's go see Austin." He grabbed my hand and we walked inside.

~Austin's POV~

I watched the door, waiting for my Shae. She walked through the door, holding Alan's hand. My heart sank. I guess she wasn't mine. She was my best friend's. Her eyes went down to her hand and she yanked it away. She walked over to my bedside.

"Austin?" She said softly.

"What."

"We need to talk, babe." She smiled at me.

"About how you're dating Alan?" I spat.

"No, about how I'm dating you and Alan is my best friend."

"W-what?" I asked.

"Yeah, we're just friends and that's all we'll ever be." Alan pipped in.

I smiled, my heart about to burst with happiness, "So, you're my Shae?"

"I am baby, I am." She smiled.

I pressed my lips on hers and kissed her softly. Man, this girl has my heart on a rollercoaster.
