I was all for you

"Haha, Alex, this isn't funny. Don't joke about that kind of stuff okay?" Alan said, knowing....hoping that it was a joke. But when the tears started streaming down her face, and when her face was buried in his chest, He realized that it wasn't a joke. The love of his life had cancer and only had 4 months to live.

"Alex this can't be happening!" Alan said. He felt a lonely tear trickle down his cheek. "Alex we've hardly been back together. Alex no no no!" Alan said.

"Alan it's true. I have leukaemia. I don't want to spend my last four months moping and crying in my bed all day. I need to live. I have you and Kyler. I need to be with you as much as possible." Alex said.

Alan looked down at her mascara smeared face and instantly felt sick. The thought of waking up next to an empty side of the bed and never seeing Alex's beautiful face again made him afraid. Why did it have to be them? Why Alex? Why could'nt it have been Alan?

"Alan, I don't want to upset you. I'm tired, so we have to go to bed. Tomorrow I'm telling Austin and Beth."Alex said

"Alright baby. Let me carry you." Alan said.

He stood up and put his hand under Alex's ass to support her, and he effortlessly carried her to their bedroom. They layed in bed, staring at eachother, holding eachothers hands.

"It'll be okay. I promise you." Alex said.

*Ding Dong*

Alan ran to get the door, while carrying the giggling Kyler in his arms. He opened the door to she rosy cheeked Austin and Beth.

"OH MY GOD LOOK AT HIM! ALAN ITS LIKE HES A CLONE!" Beth squeeled before she even stepped inside. "Come here. Come to auntie bethy!" She said in the voice that everyone uses to speak to babies.

"Congrats man." Austin said, giving Alan a slap on the back. "He's a cute kid. Me and Beth bought him shit." He said

"Cool. But I think Alex wants to tell you guys something before breakfast...." Alan said, knowing how hard if would be for Beth.

"Uh okay..." Austin said.

All four of the adults sat down on the couch, Beth still holding Kyler.

"I'm sorry to start Christmas morning off this way, but I needed to tell you, and Beth, you need to promise not to freak out." Alex said, looking up with tear filled eyes. Beth nodded, slightly in confusion.
