I took a deep breath and I listened to the music in my ears. Then I slowly opened my mouth and I sang out the words. I sang with everything that I had and I got amazed about the power I had. So was Kim.
"If I told you that I loved you, would you hear my words?" I ended and then I opened my eyes again. I looked at Kim and Alex, and they both nodded. Then Kim made a thumb up and I smiled. I was in the studio. Recording.

I was in my apartment, by myself, and playing on my new synth. Just playing because it was fun. Soon I found myself playing one of my songs and I sang with all my heart again. Which was fun until I felt two arms wrap themselves around me. I let out a small shriek and then felt someone kiss my neck.
"I’m sorry for being an ass" Austin said. I looked at him and wondered what he was talking about. And then he told me what he had thought. I smiled and got up from my chair, and I wrapped my arms around him.
"It’s okay… It was just a misunderstanding" I said and nuzzled my face into his chest, breathing in his scent. A scent I had come to like.
"So what was that you were playing?" he asked.
"One of my new songs, we recorded it today" I said and unwrapped myself from him. He looked at me, surprised and impressed.
"you’re already in the studio?" he asked. I nodded and smiled.
"We began a few days ago and finished the third song today" I said.
"Wow, working fast" he said, even more impressed.
"They call me a genius, because I record and it’s perfect just on the first try" I said and laughed.
"Then you’re truly a genius" he said and grinned.

Austin wouldn’t let me go and he had his arms wrapped around me the whole time he spent that evening with me. I smiled and didn’t care much though because it felt nice. I liked having him around me. I liked to feel his touch against my skin. I like the feeling of… him.

The next morning I hurried over to the studio and Kim looked at me.
"Another new band that we recently signed needs a female singer, and I thought about you… Would you like to give it a try?" Kim asked.
"What kind of band is it?" I asked and looked at him. Did I want to work with some other band.
"Their name is El Rey, they’re a metalcore band from…" he began.
"Miami, in the band there are the vocalist Ian, William on bass, Tyler and Ed on guitar and Zack on drums" I said and Kim looked surprised.
"You know them?" he asked.
"They toured with Of Mice and Men" I said and smiled.
"Do you want to help them?" he asked.
"sure, why not?" I shrugged.
"they’re in studio four" he said and grinned a little.

I walked over to the studio and sneaked in, and Spot and Tyler looked up. they looked surprised to see me there. Ian was in recording and I was surprised how good his voice sounded.
"what are you doing here?" Spot asked.
"Kim said you needed a female singer, and asked me to do it" I shrugged.
"You’re signed to this label?" they asked and I nodded.
"Then feel free to sit down and listen" Spot said and grinned.

Ian looked surprised when he came out and found me sitting there.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. Spot explained to him like dI had explained to Spot, and Ian got a huge grin on his face.
"Then why don’t we take a break and I’ll show you exactly what we need your for?" he said. I nodded and we walked out from the studio and made our way down to a training room. Ian closed the door and handed me a paper. I looked at it and saw that it was a song. "When I look into the sky" was the title of the song. I read the lyrics and I felt touched. They were absolutely amazing. And beautiful.
"Who wrote this?" I asked and looked at him. He smiled. He had written the lyrics.
"I did" he said and smiled even more.
"They’re absolutely beautiful" I said and I could see his eyes sparkle.
He smiled and took the paper, and he showed me what part I was going to sing.
"This part you’ll sing alone, and this part… We’re going to sing together" he said and nodded. I nodded as well and smiled.
"Wanna try it out now?" I asked.
"Let me get the others so you can hear the music, then we’ll try it out" he said and hurried out from the room.

They played just the music at first, and when they finished I nodded. This could be one really beautiful song. If I could make it.
"Let’s take it from the beginning and see what it sound like" Spot said and looked at Ian. Ian nodded and handed me the paper again. He didn’t need the lyrics. He already knew them. The started to play again and Ian closed his eyes. He began to sing and I smiled. It sounded so amazing and beautiful in a way I just couldn’t describe. He sang with such a feeling. He screamed with such power that it gave me goosebumps. Then the middle part came and then it was my turn. I swallowed and took a deep breath, and then I began to sing. Ian looked at me and I could see how amazed he became. Everybody looked amazed and I couldn’t help but to smile. Then Ian came in and he sang with me and I felt such a connection between us. It felt right singing with him. Everything felt right. I shivered a little and we both raised our voices even more and you could see that Tyler and Spot both got goosebumps, and Ed grinned like a fool.
"and that is when I look into the sky" we both sang and the last tunes from Ed’s guitar played. Before the finished and the room became silent.
"That was amazing" Zack said and broke the silence in the room.
"yeah" Tyler said and looked at me.
"You got quite the voice" Ian said and looked impressed.
"I could say the same for you" I said and blushed a little.
"What do you say about working some more together? And not just this song" he said with a grin. I looked at him and got all exited.
"Hell yeah" I bursted out and they all began laughing.
