Too Soon

I only got back from London for a motorbike helmet photoshoot yesterday. I don’t feel like I’ve had much time, but I’m still going out with Austin tonight. When I’m not working I tend to dress down, so I’m wearing black jeans and a low cut white mesh shirt. I couldn't resist wearing those new red heels from Grimshaws.
The place we’re meeting at I’ve never been to. I walked inside and waited a minute near a podium. A man in a suit came forward and smiled widely at me. “How may I help you?” he asked.
“I’m meeting someone,”
“What’s the name?”
“Austin,” I replied. He looked down and back to me.
“Follow me, please,” he said and he man guided me to a table.
“Thanks,” I said and Austin looked up. He stood up and grinned at me. Austin leaned over to kiss my cheek.
Austin was wearing a loose black t-shirt and jeans. Now I see him in the light and sober I think I recognise him. He sat down as I did and I looked across to him. “You look nice,” he told me.
“Thanks,” I replied.
“Do you want a drink?”
“Sure,” I agreed.
“Hey, can we have some drinks,” Austin said to a waitress.
“I’ll have vodka and coke,” I said.
“A simple red wine for me,” Austin said. The waitress walked away and I rested my chin on my fist.
“How’s your week been? You’re leaving soon, right?”
“Yeah, we’re leaving Saturday,” he explained. “We’ve just been seeing stuff, you know. Meeting cool people,”
“I still don’t know what you do for a job,” I said.
“You don’t,” he murmured. “I thought you saw something when you walked in,”
“Okay,” I breathed and tilted my head to the side. “You’re someone important in music,” I tried.
“Keep going,” he urged.
“I’m going to say you’re in a band. I feel like I’ve seen you or talked about you before. And I’m going to go with lead singer,”
“Did you just work all that out?”
“I’m good,” I shrugged. “Let me see,” I said and grabbed his hand. “Of Mice and Men. Heavy,”
“You know us?” he teased.
“I’m a music video blogger. Among other things,”
“I was wondering why you’re not getting shy and excited,” he mocked.
“I know why you’re going back to the US. Warped is coming up, right?”
“You going?”
“No, plane tickets are expensive,” I replied.
“What else do you do?” Austin asked.
“Oh, I’m a model,” I said easily.
“I knew that,” he said and snorted as he laughed. “What type of modelling do you do?”
“Pin-up,” I said and heard him laugh.
“I have never met a pin-up model before,”
“I’m not that glamorous,”
“What’s your surname?”
“I don’t go by Gemma for my pin-up work,”
“Tell me,” he urged.
“No,”
“Go on,”
“I’m not letting you go to your hotel and show your friends my pin-ups,” I smiled. Austin looked at me and raised his eyebrows. “Vienna Charlotte,” I said slowly.
“Exciting,” he grinned. I looked down to my menu and scanned the food.
“Are you ready to order?” a waitress asked.
“I’ll have the tuna roll,” Austin said.
“And I’ll have the tenpura,” I said. She took our menus and I saw Austin grinning. “What?”
“Very nice,” he smirked and showed me his phone. I looked and saw myself in a black lace corset, underwear and suspenders with stockings.
“I hate you,” I said but laughed.
