I Hope You Like The Stars I Stole For You
After the Crown The Empire set was over we headed back to the bus. I guess Alan and Austin worked everything out because they were on the couch watching some tv show I didn't recognize. I have to leave, even if they seemed to have worked everything out. I walked into the back lounge and just stood there for a second, even though I just started to get to know these guys I was going to miss them. I cleared my throat and they both looked up at me, "I-I'm leaving tonight..." I looked down at my shoe and turned to go away, but I felt someone grab my wrist, it was Austin.
"Why do you want to leave? I thought, I thought we had something. You trusted me." Austin looked hurt, but I think Alan looked more hurt. Maybe I should stay? No, I have to go, I have to leave.
"I don't want to come between you guys. I know you were shouting at each other earlier and I have a feeling that I had something to do with it. And I hate to see you guys fight. You're supposed to be best friends. I can't come between that." Alan looked at me and actually started to laugh.
"Ciara, you're important to both of us, we don't want you to leave. Look, like who you want, and everyone here in the bus and everyone out there will except it. Just stay. Don't go." I turned and simply said that I was going to bed. I just need to think.
Sometime at night when everyone was asleep I rolled over and felt something in my bed, or should I say someone. I opened my eyes and saw that it was Austin. I just slipped my arms around his waist and went back to sleep. I haven't slept that good in years. When I woke up Austin gone. What did I think was going to happen? That I'd wake up and he'd lean over and say 'Good morning beautiful'? Obviously not. I rolled over and got out of my bunk and saw that the bus was empty. I took a shower and got ready, I picked out a pair of high waisted shorts and a white V-neck.
When I walked out of the restroom I saw a note on the outside of my bunk with my name written on it in sloppy boy handwriting. I opened it,
'Meet me by the PTV merch tent at 10' It was already 9:50 so I grabbed an orange and set off of the PTV merch tent. Who wants to meet me there, Austin? I could be Alan though. I got to the PTV merch tent at 9:55. Nobody was there, so I waited and at exactly 10:00 someone came up to me and gave me another sheet of paper with my name on it, before they left I asked, "Hey who gave you this?" He just smirked and walked away. The paper said,
'Just kidding, meet me at the bus.' I sighed and walked back to the bus, when I got to the bus there was another note on the door. I swear if it says to go somewhere else. I opened it, 'Sorry about the back and forth, you can come back in.' I opened the door slowly, I'm not a huge fan of surprises.
When I walked onto the bus the lights were off and there were fake candles all over the place. Oh no, is this... I walked to the back lounge and found it empty. I looked all over the bus and finally checked the bunks, Austin was sitting in my bunk with a yellow flower in his hands. He looked up and smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back. He made me so happy. "Ciara, would you care to join me in some stargazing?"
I just looked at him confused, "Austin, are you okay? It's 10 in the morning." He laughed and pulled me into the bunk and laid me down on my back. I looked up at the ceiling of my bunk. There were sticky glow in the dark stars all across the ceiling. I looked at him and he was just staring at me with a huge grin on his face.
"You're so beautiful, and I can't stand being away from you. That kiss, it was the best kiss I've ever had, you make me so happy." He looked back up at the stars, giving me time to think. What do I say? I don't know. I mean I like Austin he's sweet and funny and... So I do like Austin. I turned on my side and wrapped my arms around him, he turned towards me and looked deeply into my eyes. We stayed like that for awhile until I fell asleep snuggled against his chest.
