This One's For You

A few weeks have passed since my first ultrasound, I'm now almost ten weeks pregnant and no one knows yet. I've been very sick lately, morning sickness has fully hit me and it's the worst. Austin hasn't talked to me since he came over that day and we fought. He hasn't tried to reach out to me and I'm not ready to talk to him yet. Though pretty soon, I'm not going to be able to hide this pregnancy.

Megan knows there's something not right with me, but she hasn't really asked any questions. My family has no idea and I haven't talked to them for a bit. This would be something I'd have to go back home in Arizona to tell them.

I've started a baby book, adding my pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. I'll continue to add the ultrasound pictures along with bump pictures and once they're born, it'll be filled with their first year. I've gone into mommy mode a bit early, but my love for this baby keeps growing everyday.

Today I am back to work, I took a few sick days since the morning sickness had hit me bad. I'm feeling a bit better today and decided that I needed to come back. I worked for an enterprising business as an assistant for the CEO while going to school to get my degree in marketing. I loved working at Banks Enterprising, all of my coworkers and my boss are very pleasant and easy to work with. Plus my boss offered me a new position for when I get my marketing degree, but that might be put off for a bit because of the baby.

"You're looking a lot better, Ms. Price." My boss, Mr. Banks compliments. He was a very nice man and very young for the position he had here, but it was a family business and he inherited it after his father passed. He was also a very good looking man, he stood very tall and had dark hair with clear blue eyes and tan skin. Maybe my hormones were kicking in, but he looked absolutely amazing today.

"Thank you, Mr. Banks." I responded with a smile. "Mr. Davidson wanted to set up a lunch meeting whenever you're free, I looked over your schedule and made it for Friday at one. Does that sound okay?"

"Perfect." He says with a smile, his bright white teeth on display. I turn to walk away back to my desk, but he grabs my arm to stop me. "There's this charity dinner this weekend and I need someone to come with. Would you be interested in joining me?"

I kind of gazed at him in shock, why would he ask me? A good looking and wealthy bachelor was asking me of all people to join him? "Um... I don't know." I replied nervously.

"Jordan." He called me by my first name and he's never done that. "You don't need to act nervous, but if you don't want to go that's alright."

My mind was screaming at me just agree to go with him and maybe it would help to get over Austin. Why not? "No it's fine, I'll go with you."

He smiles once again. "Great, it's Saturday night and I'll be around to pick you up at seven."

With that, he turns his heel and walks away. I'm left standing there, still completely awestruck that he had even asked me to join him. What have I gotten myself into?
