Left For Dead

Vanna-
“Hey, Vivi. Don't you have an appointment with the girls?” my brother asks, as he sits on the table with his breakfast in hand. “what time is it?” I ask him, flipping the page to my book. “8:30.” I slam the book close and he laughs. “don't laugh.” He chuckles and I throw him a plastic spoon I had used for my cereal and rush to my room, locking it and staring at my open closet.
How was I feeling today? Excited.
We were meeting our new bassist today. Was she a nice person, or a nasty little thing? Was she going to help us or just sit around? Was she a outgoing person, or reserved? All these questions filled my mind as I settled in for a pair of acid washed jeans, a black tee shirt and a black flannel. I put my blue hair in a messy bun and play a little with my makeup, ending up with just a thin eyeliner and two coats of mascara. Nothing to extraordinary. I grab the keys to my car and turn then around the index finger. “you changed quick. “
“had everything ready.” I grab a banana and kiss my mom in her cheek. “I'll be back.”
“have fun! Say hi to the girls for me.”
“sure will, Ma! Te amo!” she blows me another kiss as I walk out the door and into my car. I look at my phone. 9:00.
Hm.
I guess I stood in front of the closet longer than i thought. And I'm just wasting time just sitting here.

*25 mins later*

I got five minutes to be in front of Kevin, ready to meet this new Echo girl. I grabbed my wallet and rushed to the studio, passing everybody and saying quick hellos. I swing the door open, and Shannon along with Kevin stare at me.
“You're early!” Kevin exclaims.
"Yay for Vivi!” he rolls his eyes and I give a hug to Shannon. I look around and sigh. “someone over slept again.” I sang softly. And Kevin shakes his head in disappointment, Ellie just laughs. We sit down and waited for Ally along with the new girl. I look at the coffee table, and something was missing. Donuts.
I get out my phone and send a text message telling Ally to hurry the hell up, and to bring me donuts from that one shop we went to the other day. They were so good, and I can totally use a donut right now. My stomach agrees and I sigh. Kevin sat in silence,probably thinking what hes gonna tell Ally for coming in so late. We can hear Jem talking to Ally outside and her shadow stands still in front of the door. She opens it and we all look at her. Shannon makes a comment of her earliness and I walk up to her. She had a stain on her shirt, I questioned if it was chocolate. Maybe she ate my donut. Especially with her coming jn here with empty hands. My stomach growls and I frown as she walks outside towards the bathroom.
“why you sad?” Kevin asks.
“I wanted donuts.” Shannon, being the oldest, shakes her head and rolls her eyes.
"you're such a child, Vanna.” I give her the finger and Ellie shakes her head. A few minutes later, a girl with whitish hair enters the room.
"you must be Echo.” Kevin asks, standing up. She nods and smiles smally. I lean back on my chair and cross my arms against my chest. “This is Shannon and Vanna.” Shannon waves and I give her a small hello. Echo sits and shifts on her chair. I look down at my shoes and sigh. I wasn't mad at her, she seems nice, a bit too shy, but that's how we all were in high school. I'm just sad we have to start this new accomplishment with someone that wasn't even there on our first album. Kevin starts a conversation with Echo, and Ally enters the room. It just doesn't seem right. In time it will.

Right now?

Not so much.
