Ally's P.O.V


Beep! Beep! Beep!
I heard my alarm early in the morning. “Ughh!” I exclaimed rather loudly as I hit the snooze button. I then lay there a while staring at the white ceiling. “C’mon sweetie, today's your big day!” My mom said happily walking into my room and then opening my curtains. “Ahh! The light!” I yelled dramatically while covering myself with my blanket again. “Ugh why do Monday's exist again ?” I asked my mom.
“Oh don't be over dramatic again, get yourself washed up and get ready for today, I left breakfast ready for you downstairs.” She said rolling her eyes at me, and smiling. “Okay thanks mom but just give me like 10 more minutes.” I said closing my eyes and getting back into my very comfortable position. “Or 10 more days” I said into my pillow.
“Ally c’mon you can sleep in when you come home later but I want you to be on time today to your ‘big job meeting’, so get up.” She said. “Mom it's not a “big job meeting” I said quoting her. “It's just me and the girls meeting together so we can then meet another girl. “Okay but still get up and get ready, I'll see you later at dinner but now I'm headed off to office or I'm going to be late again.” She said and left my room. “Okayyyy I'm cominggg.” I said into my pillow.
I then forcefully picked myself up and headed off to my bathroom. I looked in my mirror and saw my baggy eyes and weird bed hair. I then remembered about what the girls and Kevin had told me about our new bassist Echo. My mom was right, yet again. Today was the big day and we were finally going to meet her. Wow I couldn't believe we were getting a new group member. I wonder what she's like, was she nice ? How old was she ? How long has she been playing the bass ? Does she play other instruments ? Does she like pandas as much as I do ? I laughed at myself and shook those thoughts off, I'm sure we'll like her no matter what and she sounds like an amazing person from what they told me.
I then put on my music, ‘Sweater Weather’ by The Neighbourhood came on. “Here we go.” I said while starting to brush my teeth and wash my face and then jumping into the the shower. Eternities later I stepped out, then dried myself up and put on my outfit for the day which consisted of a white collared shirt with a black skirt. I then put my hair in a quick side braid and applied mascara and lip gloss. I look in the the mirror and looked somewhat decent, well it was enough to go on through the day. I walked downstairs and ate my breakfast. I sat down and pulled my phone out. I had some texts from Shannon and Vanna, I then opened them.

-Shannon: Good Morning sunshine time to wake up!
-Shannon: but no seriously wake up
-Shannon: dude where are you at ? You're so late. You know how Kevin gets when you're late so hurryyy
-Shannon: are you dead ?
-Shannon: if yes then take me with you.
-Shannon: if not then you will be soon if you don't hurry up!
-Vanna: Ally I think you overslept again so hurry up and come Kevin is getting all freaked out because you're not here and plus we have to me Echo soon.
-Vanna: oh and can you get me some of those donuts we had that one time while you're on your way please ?

I was confused, It was 8:45 AM last time I checked. I looked at the time, it read 9:55 AM. “Dang it I'm late!” I was supposed to meet the girls in the studio at 9:30 sharp and the drive there took me about 20 minutes. Time goes by so fast so I then tried to speed things up by drinking my coffee in one big gulp which failed miserably and made it worse since it resulted in me spitting it out and making a big mess in the kitchen floor. “Oh my god you've got to be kidding me!” I then cleaned it up as fast as I could, grabbed my bag and ran out the door into my car.
*25 minutes later*
I arrived at the studio at 10:20. I was so scared and it wasn't because I almost hit a car earlier for being in such a hurry and traffic being so slow, but because I was going to meet Echo. I become a nervous wreck when I'm meeting new people. I steeped out of my car and brushed myself off only to realize I had a big coffee stain in my white shirt. “Just great.” I said looking for a jacket or something to cover it up. I couldn't find anything so I just might as well walk in since I'm already late. I walked in and saw our music tech, Jeremy or ‘Jem’ for short.
I walked up to him. “Wow you look like crap.” He said while chewing his gum annoyingly loud. “Gee thanks.” I said giving him a death glare. “No problem.” He said smiling and showing his rather charming dimples. “Hey are any of the girls here yet ?” I asked. “Uhm yeah, they showed up here about an hour ago or so”. “Great, now I'm going to get a two hour lesson by Kevin again, I can already imagine him lecturing me again about that just like last time.” I said. “Well good luck with that, I'll see you later.” He said patting my head as if I was a little eight year old and then walking away.
“Here we go.” I said walking into our music room. Before I walked in I heard laughing and talking. “C’mon Ally just open the door.” I whispered to myself. I then took all my courage and opened the door. I then saw Vanna, Shannon, Kevin and Ellie who was Kevin’s girlfriend sitting by the coffee table but no Echo. “Wow Ally you're early today.” Shannon said to me sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and shot her death glare. “Love you too” she said and went back to eating. Vanna then walked up to me, “Why are you so late today ?” she asked worriedly. “One word: traffic, and I kinda took forever to shower” I said. “Is that chocolate on your shirt ?” she asked. “No it's coffee, oh my gosh is it too noticeable ?” I asked looking down at it. “Yeah a little bit” she said laughing.”Dang it!” I said embarrassed. “I'm going to go bathroom and try and clean it up”. I said walking off.
I then pulled my phone out and walked towards the bathroom, I didn't realize where I was going since I was too busy looking for a good song to hear from my playlist, that I had ran into a person. We both then fell back from the impact. “Ouch oh I'm so sorry.” The girl said while standing up, holding her head and giving me a hand. “I'm sorry, I'm a clumsy person” I said chuckling. “I guess we both are.” She said.
I then looked at her, I had never seen her before around here, I think I would remember if I had since she had bright whitish hair so she stood out. She could've been Jem's girlfriend I thought, he was telling me the other day about a girl he had met at the music shop downtown but I doubt that, Jem wouldn't really bring her here unless it was really serious and I think he would have already told me. I didn't realize I had been standing there this whole time so I went back to reality and laughed.
“Have I seen you before ?” I asked. “Not that I know of, no.” She said smiling at me. “Are you Jem's girlfriend ?” I asked surprised. “No I am not.” She said chuckling. “Ohhh, are you a relative of Kevin ?”. I asked Kevin always brought family relatives to show around here. “Nope”. She said once again. I then remembered, oh my god how I could I forget ? “Are you Echo ?” I asked. “Yes”.
