Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Cassidy's POV*

I woke up to the sun shining on my face with Austin's arm wrapped tightly around me in a protective hold, I was perfectly calm until I remembered last night, I felt my heart racing as I remembered how Austin made me feel, he was in a way, better than Mike I guess, I quickly shuffled out of his hold and put my clothes back on, just as I was about to open the door to leave I heard Austin shuffle around, "Well you really know how to make a guy feel cheap" he laughed, I turned around and smiled at him, "I'm sorry I just feel like I should deal with this Mike thing" I smiled shrugging, he nodded and stretched as he yawned, I quickly shuffled over to him and kissed him, "Bye" I smiled when I pulled away, "Bye" he said giving me a final kiss and sending me on my way, when I walked into the hall I saw Tino and Phil standing outside discussing something, "Morning sleeping beauty" Phil smirked at me as I passed them, I smiled politely before rushing back to my own room, "Mike" I shouted knocking the door a couple of times, I heard him groan before he opened the door, "You look like hell" I said as I walked past him, "I feel like it" he sighed sitting on the edge of the bed, "Where are you going?" He asked as I grabbed my suitcase and started packing, "Home" I said simply, he looked at me confused, "What? Why?" He asked raising his voice, I flinched a little but continued to packs, "Because Mike you completely went behind my back and then lied to me" I sighed throwing my top down and standing up to face him, "But you said that you wanted to try, you said-" he started but I cut him off, "Yes Mike, I know what I said and despite the love I have for you right now, I can't do this anymore, I don't want to live in an unhappy relationship and I don't want you to suffer it either" I sighed, "The only suffering I do is when I'm not with you, when I'm not by your side, when I'm not holding your hand, it hurts when I can't touch you, I've tried to forget the taste of your lips, but I can't, Cassidy I love you and I don't want to lose you, I can't, please!" He said as he started to cry, I was speechless as I was trying to take in his words, "I can't, I wish I could Mike, but I can't" I said as I was on the verge of tears, "What do you mean, you can't?" He asked, "I'm a terrible person Mike, I don't deserve you, you've been so loyal and I-" I started but couldn't go on as I can't seem to confess my sins, "You what?" He asked sniffing, I cried harder as I shook my head, "You what!?" He asked louder, I flinched into word, "I slept with Austin!!" I shouted back, he looked at me with shock and betrayal, "You-You slept with Austin?" He asked, I nodded, "Last night, when you left to come back here" I said feeling guilty, he sighed and nodded before storming out of the room.

"Mike, where are you going!?" I asked following him out and running behind him, "Mike, stop!!" I shouted as I knew he was going to Austin's room, he banged on the room door multiple times until Austin answered, "Fuck you, Carlile!" He said with spite and throwing a punch at his face, "Stop!" I shouted as I saw Mike wasn't going to stop anytime soon, "Mike, please!" I cried out but it only made him more determined, I quickly ran up to him and clashed our lips together, he let go of Austin and grabbed my face as we started to make out, I stopped and pulled away, "It's not his fault" I sighed as I tried to regain my breath, he nodded and smiled softly, "I don't blame you" he whispered before giving me a final kiss and leaving, I sighed in distress before turning to Austin and apologizing then racing out, "Mike wait, I've decided-" I said but stopped when I reached him to catch my breath, "I've decided that if you want to we can fix this, just not now, I'm going to go home and we can speak after tour if that's what you want?" I asked, he smiled sweetly and nodded, "I would love to" he said before kissing me again, "Can you pack for me while I get dressed?" I asked once we entered our room, he nodded and started packing, I ran into the toilet and got dressed as quickly as I could, "Okay does this look presentable?" I asked, he stopped packing and gazed at me in awe, "As always, where are you going anyway?" He asked, "Have you seen the amount of fans outside?" I laughed, he shook his head before heading over to the window, "Fuck" he muttered, I nodded, "Yeah so I'm going to have to tell them why I'm going home" I said as I picked my suitcase up, "Tell them you miss your family and you've decided on the road isn't for you?" He suggested, I sighed and nodded, "Yeah, that'll work" I smiled before taking a deep breath, "Want me to come with?" Mike asked, I nodded and smiled to hide my fear. When we got out there everyone was screaming on Mike and I, "Cassidy!!!" A girl was waving and shouting I walked over with Mike holding my hand and carrying my suitcase for me, "Are you leaving?" She asked, I nodded and smiled, "Why?" She asked upset, "Well I really miss my little sister and I-" I stopped and looked at Mike who was smiling at me with confidence, "And I just miss my family" I lied, she nodded and reached over the railing to give me a hug, Mike and I hugged, signed and took selfies with a lot of fans but my taxi was here so I had to run, "I love you" I smiled, everyone was awing and cheering, "I love you too" Mike replied which cause more awes and cheers, "Bye" I smiled, before he could reply I quickly grabbed his face and clashed our lips together, as we were standing and slowly making out it felt like everyone had disappeared but when we pulled apart there were cheers, awes and cameras flashing, "Bye" he whispered before closing the taxi door behind me.
