Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Cassidy's POV*

When I ran into Mike's room and closed the door I immediately broke down as I started pacing the room, I heard the door open and close and saw Vic standing there watching me, "What happened?" He asked watching me closely, I shook my head and sat on the edge of Mike's bed holding my head in my hands, "I can't tell him, I can't tell him" I said as I began to cry harder, "Can't tell him what?" Vic asked sitting next to me, "When I was being beaten, a guy pi-pinned me against the wall and was going to r-rape me, he started rubbing my thigh and then-" I started but couldn't finish as I began crying even harder than I had before, thinking about it scared me more than when it actually happened, "And then, you pushed him off and made a run for it?" He asked, I sniffed and nodded, "Why are you crying then?" He asked putting an arm around me and pulling me closer to him, "Because Mike rubbed my thigh and it brought back the memories in a flood" I explained wiping my eyes and rubbing the excess eyeliner on my jeans, "So just tell him what happened when you got 'jumped'" he said, I sighed and nodded pulling back from him, "Okay" I said before rubbing under my eyes again, "Thank you" I smiled giving him a small quick hug and getting up to leave, I felt Vic watching me closely as I left the room, leaving the door open for him, I raced downstairs and into the kitchen to see Mike and Tony sitting at the kitchen table talking and sipping beers, I smiled and walked over to Mike, sitting on his knee and playing with his fingers on the hand that wasn't gripping the bottle, "Are you okay?" He asked as he rested his chin on my shoulder, I nodded before he slowly kissed the back of my shoulder and then neck, "So Mike have you told Cass the good news?" Tony asked, I turned to Mike in time to see him widening his eyes at Tony, "What good news?" I asked slowly looking at him suspiciously, "Nothing it's not a big deal" he said taking a small sip of his beer, "What's not a big deal?" I asked cocking my eyebrow, "Pierce The Veil is playing main stage at Warped Tour next year" Tony said smiling like an idiot, "How is that not a big deal, that's amazing!" I said turning to Mike and smiling, he just shrugged, "Yeah, I suppose" he said quietly, "What the fuck is your problem?" I asked having taken enough of his bullshit, he looked at me surprised that something like that would come out of my mouth, "Tone, could you give us a minute" Mike smiled before Tony grabbed his beer and left, I stood up and walked over to the counter leaning against it and starting at the back of Mike's head, he slowly got up and made his way in front of me, "Seriously Mike what is up?" I asked looking up at him, "What's up with me? More like what's up with you and Vic, you two have been pretty close the past couple of days" he said raising his voice a little, I flinched as he scared me when he was like this, "What are you insinuating?" I asked laughing a little in disbelief, "I don't know why you two got this close this quick but to me, it's shady" he said taking a sip of his beer, "Vic basically saved me from dying, would you rather that or he left me for dead because right now I'm glad to be alive, if I didn't run away who the fuck knows what Karen would do to me" I said before immediately regretting my words.

Hold on Karen? Karen did this to you? You told me you got jumped on the way to the shop, why would you lie to me about that?" He asked clearly hurt, I was about to answer when Vic popped through the door, "Because I told her too, I know you would've been angry and would've went over there and done something you probably would have regretted when you woke up in a holding cell so I told her to lie" Vic said, Mike sighed and nodded, "Right fine, that still doesn't explain why you freaked out and ran upstairs?" He questioned, I looked at Vic feeling the tears build up in my eyes, "When I was being 'attacked' I got pushed up against a wall and some guy started rubbing my thigh" I said breathing deeply to calm myself down, "That still doesn't explain why you didn't tell me the full story" he said, I sighed and nodded, "I know and I'm sorry" I said looking down at my feet, all I could feel was genuine guilt, Mike put two fingers under my chin and lifted my head up so I was looking into his eyes, "It's fine, just promise me that next time something like that happens you'll tell me the full story, I love you and I just want to look out for you, even if that does mean getting overprotective at times" he laughed weakly, I smiled at him and nodded before he bent down and gave me a deep passionate kiss, "I love you too" I said when we pulled away. After Vic and Tony left Mike and I decided to watch Little Miss Sunshine, we got in as far as 40 minutes or so and I turned it off, "Why'd you do that?" Mike asked looking at me confused, "Because it's sad and I don't wanna cry" I muttered a little embarrassed, "Awww baby" Mike laughed as he hugged me tightly, "Shut up" I said pushing him away, just as Mike was about to say something the doorbell went, I looked at him confused as to who would be at our door at 8:45pm, I slowly got up and walked over I opened it cautiously, Mike came over and stood behind me, "Miss Harrold?" A man in his mid forties "Yeah?" I said confused as to who he is or what he's doing here, I looked back at Mike nervous and confused, "I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but your father-" He started, I looked at him and shook my head with tears appearing in my eyes, "No, no he's not" I said looking at Mike and then back at the guy, "No he's not dead, he's in the hospital, he had an argument with his wife and she hit him or something, I couldn't make him out as he was half unconscious when he told me this but I took him to the hospital and I suggest you go over there" he said, I felt anger build up inside me, I nodded and smiled, "Thank you" I said before closing the door, "Get your shoes on" I said to Mike before grabbing his car keys and slipping on my shoes.

Sorry it's pretty long but also I am sorry that I never actually done 3 chapters but my laptop ran out of charge and then I had to leave and my life is a mess so don't blame me...
