From Nothing to Everything

I walked up the steps into the bus. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit terrified. I had never actually prepared myself for this, being adopted. I looked around, taking everything in. I looked back at the band members, looking back at me as if they were expecting something. The entire place was really cluttered and messy, empty Monster and Peace Tea cans everywhere. Not to mention the piles and piles of video games. It was exactly how I liked it.

"Well, I guess I should give you a tour, and maybe have a little group meeting," Austin said, walking in front of me. As the rest of the guys dispersed, I followed Austin around the bus, taking all of 5 minutes. "This is your bunk," Austin finished, pointing at a top bunk at the far end of the bus. Nodding, I threw my backpack up. "Okay, introductions." Austin declared as we walked back into the lounge, or as Austin put it, the "living room." The other guys were already seated around the room, leaving Austin and I to pull up chairs.

"Okay, I think we already know each other's names, so we can skip that. Do you have any questions for us, what so ever?" Aaron asked.

"Umm....." I began. I had no clue what to say, I knew these people better than I knew myself, but there were so many questions bubbling up in my mind. "First off, well, why, did you decide to get a kid?" I asked.

"Oh, we should have led with that. You aren't really just ours. I know, this is probably really confusing, but you now have about 30 guardians, or more,"Austin answered. "All of the bands associated with us are all taking custody of you. I guess, we just wanted to have a mini rock star run around with us," Austin finished. That only gave me 50 more questions to ask.

"Wait, so what bands? Am I going to rotate who i stay with? Do I have to go to school?" I asked anxiously, I could have rambled on for an eternity.

"Okay, slow down," Alan laughed. "First, yes, you will rotate who you are with. We don't really have a schedule planned out, because, well, we weren't really thinking about it. Second, the bands you will be living with. Well, everyone that we're friends with. There are definitely a lot. The bands you see in Hot Topic. The bands we are good friends with, they're all really great guys, you'll like them. I know that Pierce The Veil is in, Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless in White, Attila, Sleeping With Sirens, Black Veil Brides....."

My heart practically stopped beating. Alan was listing off my favorite bands, and said that they were my guardians. I still couldn't quite believe what was happening.

"School. We're thinking that you'll stay with us while we're in LA, and go to a school there, but we'll pay for tutors while we're on tour, but we have all summer to figure that out," Tino interrupted my thoughts.

It was summer. I was going to have a normal kid's summer. Or, as normal as a kid with 30+ parents could have. I had never really thought about seasons before, it was always the same in a orphanage. Then a remember something. "Wait, are we going on Warped Tour?" I asked eagerly.

"Yeah. Have you ever been to a concert? Because screw Taylor Swift, you're going on the entire warped tour!" Phil exclaimed.

"Well, I think that covers it. We have to get driving to our first destination," Austin said, slapping his hand on his knee. Almost on que, the bus lurched forward and began driving. Alan clicked on the TV and we gathered around to watch The Shining. I new that I was probably grinning like an idiot, even as I watched a rotten old lady corpse try to strangle a little boy, but I didn't care. My life was finally turning around.
