House Of Wolves

Lyall's POV**

I my nerves went alert as I heard shuffling. Out of nowhere I was pounced on. I laughed as Adena licked my face. We rolled around on the ground playing rough. We played right into the stream, the two of us getting soaking wet. Suddenly there was a scream and growls. Adena and I perked up and run toward the packs den. As we ran up the pack wasn't there. I locked eyes with my wolf friend.
"Hunting grounds." She seemed to say. We both took off in that direction.
"Atuanna." I yelled. Of course there was no answer. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a rival pack surrounding a girl. I sent out a warning cry. Every set of eyes shifted toward me. I growled. Slowly moving my hand to the spear on my back. I whipped it forward as the first dog lunged at me. I beat it off and it whimpered in pain. Adena howled to get our packs attention. Soon enough Atuanna and Luna burst into the clearing, the rest of the pack following. As quick as I could I sheathed my spear and pulled the girl along with me taking her out of the woods to tho outer tree line. Near where the houses were. As soon as we got out I left her and whipped around to help the rest of my pack. I stormed back through the forest the pines whipping my face. I joined in the fight with the rest of my pack.

After maybe a good hour of fighting we managed to push back the enemy. They had better keep to their grounds. My pack and I wandered back to our cave. It was Adena and Kelvari's turn to hunt. I curled up in the cave with Atuanna and drifted off by his soft fur. Wavern better not come back or I'll have his pelt for my clothing. I, once again, dreamt about the murder of my family. I woke to the pups licking my face. Adena brought me a rabbit. Adena was Atuanna and Luna's first pup. Born around the time they had found me. I skinned, cooked and ate my rabbit before walking the territory lines with Kelvari and Magotu.
