Would You Still Be There?

I woke up cuddled into Austin's side. He had one arm wrapped around my waist, and I was extremely comfortable. But, I sat up anyway, remembering that I was naked. My face grew hot at yesterday's activities, and I couldn't stop smiling. I looked down at Austin's sleeping face, and I kissed his lips, causing him to wake up.

"Mmm," he hummed as he sat up as well. I smiled up at him, and he kissed me again.

"How are you?" Austin asked.

"I'm great," I said, and I stood up. I went to take a step, and I noticed how sore I was, and I hissed.

"Fuck," I muttered. Austin stood up, grabbing my hands and pulling me against him.

"I'm sorry," he said. I shook my head.

"It's not your fault," I said softly, and I leant up to peck his lips.

"Do you want a shower?" He asked. I smiled and nodded, so Austin lead me to his bathroom, and he turned the shower on.

After our shower, Austin and I collected our clothes from around his room, but I remembered that my shirt was downstairs. So, in just jeans and a bra, I made my way downstairs, coming face-to-face with Austin's mom holding my shirt up. She looked at me and pulled her eyebrows together.

"Austin!" She yelled, and I turned around, covering my chest as he bounded down the stairs. This was not a good way to meet someone's parents. He approached me, looking at his mom as he wrapped me up in his arms.

"Care to explain?" She asked, dropping my shirt and placing her hands on her hips. Austin looked at me and tugged his shirt off, handing it to me before taking a step forward. I pulled his shirt over my head, feeling better and less, well, exposed.

"Uh.. yeah we uh... came here since you weren't home.. and we..." he trailed off, swallowing thickly and scratching the back of his neck.

"You had sex!?" She exclaimed, causing her husband to walk into the room with a confused look on his face. Austin took a, step back, wrapping his arm around my waist as I hid my face in his chest.

"Yeah. We did. That's what couples do," he said, rubbing my back. I could feel her glare burning through my back and I just wanted to shrivel up right on the spot.

"Get your parents over here, missy. I want to speak with them," she said, and she stormed off into the kitchen. I scrambled to pick up my shirt, and I balled it up against my chest, going right back to where Austin stood. I slipped my phone out of my pocket, texting my dad and telling him to come over along with Austin's address. It wasn't long before my dad was knocking on the front door in confusion with Elizabeth and Anthony behind him.

"What-?" My dad started to ask as Austin let them in, noticing my eyes were filled with tears.

"Glad you could make it!" Austin's mom exclaimed as she returned from the kitchen. She lead my dad into the living room with all of us following, and Austin sat down in an armchair, pulling me into his lap and wrapping his arms around me securely as I shook with tears.

"I came home this morning and found your daughter's shirt on my floor. She came down the stairs in her bra and jeans to pick it up, so I called Austin down and he told me they had had sex. I just wanted to let you know," Austin's mom said. The silence was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Cassidy? Cassidy, look at me, sweetheart," my dad said, and I pulled my head off of Austin's chest to look at him. I wiped my tears away, and Austin kissed my cheek softly.

"She's not lying, okay? Austin and I had sex. We used protection and everything, so whatever you say-"

"Cassidy, I'm not mad," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"This day would come eventually. As long as you're using protection and you're not sleeping around with every guy you see. It's part of life, honey. Sex isn't a bad thing, and you shouldn't be punished for doing it. I'm not going to tell you it's something when it's not," he said. I sniffed, letting a smile spread on my lips.

"Okay," I said. My dad smiled at me, and he looked at Austin's mom who still looked a little ticked off. She sighed and let her arms fall to her sides.

"I'm not saying I want you to be having sex, Austin.. but I guess if you do, I want you to be doing it safely, alright?" She asked him.

"I know, mom. I even made sure she was ready, multiple times, in fact. She doesn't regret it, so we're all good," Austin said. I looked at him, and I kissed him deeply. I was so lucky to have him as my boyfriend. He was literally perfect in every way.
