The First Punch

It was the end of the first day and me and the guys were chilling on the bus. I was sitting down next to Tony, holding his hand. We were on the road heading to San Fransisco next. I'm so excited because I think Lian and her brother will be there. Her brother has always been there for me, people have always picked on him but he's so sweet. His name is Kel. He's stuck in the 50's.
I felt my phone start to vibrate in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was Kel! I answered the phone and stood up to go to the bunks.
"Heyyyyyy Kel how's it goin?!" I said as I crawled into my bunk.
"Alex! Is it true you're on the hook?!" Kel nearly yelling in excitement on the other end. I laughed at his use of 50's lingo.
"Yes Kel! I'm with Tony!" I kept laughing
"Good! I mean shit, when I found out everything that happened to you I was so damn frosted! When I first heard about Mike I knew he was a fucking shuck." He grumbled into the phone, huffing out a sigh into the phone.
"Thanks Kel. Yeah Tony treats me a lot better and Austin hit him.. So tomorrow you're coming to warped right!? What'd you do in San Francisco?" I asked, I haven't heard anyone talk in 50's slang in so long. I miss him so much!
"Oh, oh!! I didn't tell you!! Lian took me to this vintage car show and I saw the most amazing 50s cars! Lian even convinced them to let me take a picture sitting in a Alfa Rome 2000 Touring Spider! It was.. It was.. ggrraahh!" Kel ran out of words and just made this confusing disgruntled sound. Getting back his cool he awkwardly coughed. "Ugh anyway.. I'll ask Lian if we're going to.. Ugh what was it? Warped To-" A loud yes was heard from faraway on the other line. "Ugh.. I might be wrong but I think she's pretty damn sure we're going."
"Ok cool! I can't wait to see you! It's been a while.. So are you seeing anyone yet? Or do you like anyone??" I said in a suggestive tone.
"O-oh! Ugh.. I don't really know... Lians told me about this guy and she's played some of his sounds and he's a good singer. Said we'd get along well, I ugh think he's pretty boss." Kel stumbled over his words, clearly feeling awkward about the conversation.
"Hmm... Is- is he in a famous band??" I questioned. I think I know who he's talking about. And I don't want Kel to get hurt by liking him...
"Well yeah, Lian said he's famous. I-I mean it's not like I'm into him or anything! I just think he could be cool..." Kel mumbled shyly, his deep voice trailing off at the end of the sentence.
"Oh okay. But I really can't wait to see you!" I was so excited. The last time I saw him was like 3 months or so ago because he is always fixing cars and never has any time.
"Can't wait to see you either! The pad just ain't the same without you here, Li and I say it all the time. Plus come on how could you not miss us, we're adorable!" Laughter from Kel and Lian sounded from the other end of the phone. I also started to laugh again.
I heard yelling coming from the front lounge.
"Guys, I think I hear yelling... It sounds like Vic.." I poked my head out of the bunk and saw Mike standing in front of Vic. "Mike and Vic are yelling at each other..." I went back into the bunk.
"Is Vic okay? Mike better not try something fucking stupid with him!" Kels voice turned to gravel, not even trying to hide the fact that he was angry. "Alex you can cut out and check what's going on, call us later. I don't like the thought of that fuckwad yelling at Vic, he could be dangerous." Yeah... I knew it was Vic that Kel had a thing for... That's cute but dangerous cause Vic isn't one for guys. I don't want Kel to get hurt.
"Ok, see you tomorrow Kel. I love you!"
"Li and I love you! Can't wait to see you Alex!" With that I hung up the phone and quietly slipped out of my bunk.
I walked towards the front lounge and saw Vic and Mike yelling at each other.
"You drunk, abusing, fucking asshole! Why would you go after Tony?! Because he got the girl you never deserved?! She deserves someone like him, not someone who beats her and fucking reminds her of her dad!" Mike laughed as he saw me walking into the room.
I sat down next to Tony who had his head in his hands. When I put my hand on his leg he looked over to me. He had a red mark on his cheek and blood coming out of his nose. I turned furious. I stood up quick and went to Mike.
"What the fuck Mike?! Why did you do that?!” I pointed to Tony. Mike laughed.
“Do what? Try to get my girl back?? Well guess what! I don’t fucking want you back, you weak ass bitch!” Mike spat. He was fucking drunk…
“I would never get back with you. I really like Tony and he fucking treats me better! He loves me! I doubt that you ever loved me…” Tears started to well up in my eyes. I was frozen where I was, I couldn’t move. I could only blink and breathe.
“You’re fucking ridiculous Alex.” Mike shook his head and stomped over to his bunk. I went to Tony.
“Are you okay?” I felt hot tears start to run down my cheek.
“Axl, please don’t cry. He’s not worth it.” Tony straightened up and stated to rub my back. I sniffled.
“Thanks Tone. I love you.”
“I love you too Axl.”
“Now we should get you cleaned up.. lets go to the bathroom.” We got up and headed to the bathroom.
