Tangled In The Great Escape.

I was rushing around my bedroom, trying to get myself ready in time for when Jaime picks me up. This was my first date in months so I was freaking out a little. What do I wear? I wasn't sure if I should dress casual or dressy, but this is a first date so I had to make a good impression. I ended up picking out a cute flowy dress, it wasn't too formal but it wasn't overly casual either. I did my makeup nicely, a bit heavier than usual just to make my eyes stand out more and then straightened my hair. I then slipped the dress on and smiled at my appearance, I looked good and I was happy with how I looked.

I ran downstairs and Alan was standing there. He looked up at me and smiled.

"That's what you're wearing?" He asked with a smirk.

"I haven't been on a date in a while Alan, I'm trying!" I replied desperately.

"I know, but you do look gorgeous!" He complimented me.

"Thanks Alan." I smiled. I then went to put my shoes on, Jaime would be here at any moment. I then slipped my flat shoes on because I'm not a heels kind of girl. I kept looking at myself in the mirror wondering if what I'm wearing is okay, I keep doubting myself. Do I look okay? Should I chan-

"Knock knock knock" Too late. Jaime was at the door and I was a nervous wreck, you would be if you had a date with a hot guy.


"Go get em' tiger." Alan winked causing me to laugh. I shook my head and went to answer the door. I swung the door open to see a very good looking Jaime.

"Well hello there." He smiled and handed me a single red rose, my heart skipped a beat at his romantic gesture. I excepted the rose with a smile.

"Hey, thanks for the rose, it's lovely!" I said shyly.

"Anything for a beautiful girl." At this point I was blushing like crazy. I placed the rose down then closed the door behind me. We walked to his car, he opened the passenger door like a gentleman for me and we both hopped in.

"So where are we going?" I asked as he began to drive off.

"Ah, that would be a secret m'lady!" He winked. I groaned slightly because surprises aren't my thing but smiled at him because he was still cute.

"Any hint?" I tried to get something out of him but he just shook his head.

"Nope, a surprise is a surprise and it's staying like that!" He said sternly but in a playful tone so I knew he wasn't being serious.

"Okay." I gave up trying, I'll just put up with the surprise for now.

"So I hear you're roommates with Alan Ashby?" He started a conversation.

"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked curiously. I haven't spoken to anyone else about my date with Jaime.

"I spoke to Austin." He said.

"Oh yeah, I went round his the other day for a BBQ and Alan told him." I explained.

"Didn't you want people to know about our date?" He asked.

"Oh no, it's just.. I never go on dates and they always take the piss!" I said with a laugh.

"I know what you mean, I don't go on many dates either." He said. No way, a guy like him, a hot looking guy like him doesn't go on dates, well I'll be damned.

"But you're so hot." I said. Once I realised what I said my cheeks flushed bright red and I hide my face in my hands. "Oh my god.." I said quietly to myself. Jaime just laughed at me and took a quick glimpse off the road to look at me.

"You think I'm hot?" He asked. I could hear the cockiness in his voice but I wasn't going to lie.

"Yeah I do." I said and laughed nervously, I'm never this confident with my words.

"Well thank you." He smirked. "I think you're gorgeous as well." He added which made me blush again.

"Thankyou Jaime." I smiled shyly. I hardly ever get complimented. I'm not a shy person in general but when it comes to dates, I'm overly shy.

We drove for a good 20 minutes with the conversation flowing between us, it was like we've known each other our whole lives, it was so natural. We soon arrived at our destination as Jaime stopped the car. I had no idea where we were so I looked at him with a confused expression on my face.

"Where are we?" I asked, hoping he wasn't kidnapping me.

"You'll see." Was all he said and hopped out of the car, leaving me confused. I quickly jumped out after and walked over to him. He was getting a basket out of the trunk. So a picnic maybe?

"A basket?" I asked. He just nodded.

"Yeah, follow me." He said and held out his hand for me to take. I smiled and nervously slipped my hand into his, he had really warm hands. "Gosh, you're hands are freezing!" He said.

"I'm cold blooded, you see." I said which made him laugh. I smiled at him. He began to walk and dragged me with him. We were walking through some kind of woodland place, I'd never been here before. It was a getting dark too so I couldn't see where I was walking very well, the trees were blocking the sun. I tripped a few times which earned a chuckle from Jaime but I didn't mind, he was good company.

We walked for a good 10 minutes but once we arrived, my jaw dropped. We came across a cliff which was overlooking the sunset, it was beautiful.

"Oh my god Jaime." I said shocked but with a big smile on my face.

"Do you like it?" He asked looking down at me as we stood there. I nodded my head and looked up at him.

"Its beautiful." I added.

"Just like you then." He said with a smirk and blushed.. again.

"Stop making me blush!" I said hiding my face into his chest.

"It's cute." He said and I felt him shrug slightly. I looked up to him and smiled.

"So what's in the basket?" I asked. I was curious to know what's inside there ever since he got it out of the car.

"Let's sit down first." He said as he lead me over to a clear piece of land to sit down on. He sat down and me beside him. He placed the basket and opened it to reveal food. I was so happy, I loved picnic, especially with the view I have.

Me and Jaime had a cute picnic, he'd packed all my favourite foods so that's another thing we have in common. There wasn't a single awkward silence between us, we just found different things to talk about which was great. I really fancied Jaime, he was gorgeous, funny and really lovely. He made me feel comfortable and I liked that. It was very rare when I got comfortable with people this quickly.

After we'd finished eating, we just sat there together and watched the sunset, I was amazed by how beautiful it was. I was sitting in Jaime's arms, he made me feel safe. Neither of us spoke now, but there was no need for words, it was a comfortable silence. I looked up to him to see that he was already looking at me. He laughed nervously.

"Tonight has been lovely Jaime, thankyou!" I smiled. It was true, it was one of the best night I've have in a long long time.

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He said with a warm smile. All I could see was his dimples and they made me want to melt inside. I shivered slightly as a cold breeze went past. "Shall we go?" He suggested as he noticed. I nodded and we both stood up. I looked up at him and smiled. He really does have beautiful eyes, I couldn't tear my eyes away from his. He smiled and placed a hand on my cheek, lightly stroking it. He then closed his eyes, leaned down and pressed his lips against mine, I was waiting for this all night. I happily kissed back and he had really soft lips. He pulled away and smiled. It was short but perfect.

"I've been waiting all night to do that." He admitted.

"I was waiting all night for you to do that." I smirked which made him chuckle and kiss me again, I could kiss those lips all day. I got lost in the kiss and smiled. "Mmm, I could get used to that." I said as he pulled away.

He then drove me home soon after and I couldn't stop smiling, that was by far the best date I'd ever been on.
