Tangled In The Great Escape.

Don't Let The World Bring You Down.

I was sitting on my bed just staring at my phone, is it too soon to call him? It was the day after Jaime had given me his number but I wasn't sure when to call him, I never usually did this kind of thing. Fuck it, I thought. I grabbed my phone and the piece of paper, dialled the number and pressed call. My hands were shaking slightly of nerves, what if he doesn't want to see me again? After a few rings, I heard his voice, his low and husky voice.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Oh hi, i-it's Olivia, the girl you gave your number to at the cafe." I said nervously. What if he'd completely forgotten and didn't know who I was? That would be so embarrassing.

"Oh yeah! Your the cute girl at the till." He said. Even though he couldn't see it, my cheeks blushed when he called me cute.

"Um, yeah that's me!" I chirped.

"So what give me the pleasure to receive a call from such a beautiful girl?" He asked smoothly. I was quite impressed with his natural charm.

"I was wondering if you wanted to grab a bite to eat together this week?" I asked hopefully.

"I think that sounds nice." He said, I could practically hear a smile in his voice.

"Are you free tomorrow?" I asked. Fuck, did I sound too desperate? Luckily for me he agreed, making me sigh in relief.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." He said.

"You will." I smiled, "bye Jaime." I said. He said goodbye back and I ended the call. I squealed happily and went racing down the stairs and towards the lounge where Alan was watching TV. I ran over to him and jumped on him excitedly, he groaned as I landed on him.

"What's got you all excited?" He asked while holding his stomach from where I landed.

"I have a date tomorrow!" I said enthusiastically.

"Oh check you." He smirked. "Who with?" He then asked.

"A guy called Jaime." I answered with a smile. Alan looked shocked but quickly covered it up with a smile. "What's wrong?" I frowned. He shook his head.

"Nothing, that name just sounds familiar." He said. I looked at him suspiciously but shrugged it off, I was too happy to care.

"Aren't you happy for me? I'm finally meeting someone!!" I said excitedly.

"Of course I am, it's about time you had some action." He smirked. I glared at him and slapped his arm.

"Oh shut up, it's not like you have either." I shot back. He scoffed.

"Have too, there was that girl last week!" He said look proud of himself.

"You fell asleep drunk before anything actually happened, that doesn't count Alan." I laughed. His face dropped.

"At least I had a girl." He mumbled and sulked like a child.

"Oh come on!" I laughed. "Let's just go see the guys, yeah?" I said. Austin was doing a BBQ for no reason, he just likes to have an excuse to have everyone over, he loves things like that.

"Sure!" He agreed with a smile.

We drove to Austin's house while blasting Good Charlotte from speakers of the car.

"Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and moneyyyyy!" We sang together loudly.

"Boys will laugh at girls when they're not funnyyyyy!" I was laughing so much because neither of us were any good at singing. This was the thing with Alan, I could be myself around him and not care if I embarrass myself, I was completely comfortable around him. There isn't many people in my life that I could do that with. We pulled up in Austin's driveway as the song finished. I switched off the engine and we both hopped out.

"Shall we?" He asked in a gentleman tone while holding out an arm for me to hold. I laughed with a head shake and hooked my arm with his.

"We shall." I smiled and we walked to the door. The door was unlocked so we just walked in, we always did it.

"HEY!" Alan shouted loudly as we walked into the garden, where everyone was. Everyone snapped their heads in our direction and waved with smiles or just gave us a quick nod.

"Hey guys!" Austin said as he walked up to us.

"Guess who has a date tomorrow?" Alan grinned while pointing to me excitedly. Austin smiled.

"You have a date?" He asked. I just nodded my head with a smile. "With who?" He asked.

"This guy called Jaime." I replied.

"Jaime Preciado?" He asked tilting his head to the side. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know his last name." I said.

"What does he look like?" Austin asked. I sighed.

"He's got short spikey black hair, dimples to die for-" I was cut off my Austin.

"Yeah, that's him!" He smiled with a laugh.

"You know him?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Didn't really surprise me though, Austin knows everyone and I mean everyone.

"Yeah! He's one of our good friends." He said. I looked at Alan.

"You knew him and you didn't tell me?" I asked. He held his hands up in surrender.

"I didn't know it was him." He said. I just shook my head.

"Well, do you think I have a shot with him? Since you know him?" I asked curiously. I wanted to know more about this guy before I went on an actual date with him.

"Totally, he's such a great guy!" Austin said. I sighed in relief, I didn't really want to go on a date with an asshole.

Notes

A bit of a filler I guess, hope you like though. Their date is the next chapter!
