Daddy's Runaway Baby is All Grown Up

Dani's POV


I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring some stupid pop song from the radio. Not the way I wanted to start off my morning. I quickly took a shower, did my makeup, and get dressed for work.

I walked into the kitchen of my apartment and found Oli making Mike and Gray some delious smelling pancakes. I smiled and admired the tattooed man at the stove.

Oli was one of the first people I met when I moved to England. He had posted an ad in the paper for a roommate and I was the first to reply. He fell in love with Mike and Gray at first sight. He was so good to them. He was the father figure they deserved. No, we're not an item, but maybe one day. With Mike and Gray's blessing of course!

I grabbed an apple from the fridge and pecked Oli, Mike, and Gray each on the cheek before running to catch a cab to work. Driving a car in London was a waste of time, I preferred just to pay someone else to drive me.

I arrived at my office and was greeted with Derek's smiling face sitting in my office.

"Good morning Danielle!" He greeted me, hugging me gently.

Derek was the only person I knew who called me Danielle. At first, I hated it because it made me miss my mother, but I soon grew found of the name and the man who called me it.

Derek and I both worked as Pschyitists at a local hospital. I got my degree soon after moving to England because I needed to support my children.

"Who am I meeting with today, Derek?" I asked him, searching for my calendar.

"You're seeing Ronnie at noon and a new patient at 2" he told me before leaving my office to go to his.

Only two patients means that I get to go home early! I miss spending time with my kids while I'm at work, but Oli found a really good pre-school for them.

My phone started ringing and I looked down to see who it was.

Call From: Ronnie :D

"Are you okay?" I asked, answering the phone. Ronnie was my first patient when I started here. We soon became really close friends. He was a recovering drug addict from the US and came here to seek out private treatment. He's always been really good around Mike and Gray, but I always worried about him relapsing.

"Dude, I'm fine! Honest! Jenna just needs me to help her paint the guest room so I have to cancel today. I'll book a new appointment for tomorrow okay?"

I sighed in relief before thanking him for calling and filing some paperwork. I had two hours before my next appointment so I ran out and grabbed Derek and I some lunch.

By the time we were finished, it was already 10 of 2 and I rushed back to my desk to get ready for my new patient.

I finally heard a knock on my door and I ran to answer it. Standing in my doorway was Derek standing with a very depressed looking Chris Cerulli.
