Complications

I woke up to Tino looking at me with a sad face. I smiled up at him and he smiled back. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips and crawled out of his arms and bunk. When my bare feet touched the wooden floor of the bus a shiver ran up my spine and I turned around immediately.

“Can I borrow one of your hoodies Tino-bear?” I asked him.
“Yeah, sure. Here you go.” he said, handing me a black Underground hoodie which I pulled over my head and snuggled into.

I walked out of the empty bunk are to the front lounge. Alan and Phil were sitting in front of the TV playing X-box and Aaron was at the breakfast counter busy working on his laptop.

“Hey, guys.” I smiled at them as I walked in.
“Hey.” they greeted in unison.
“Where’s Lucy?” I asked as I walked to the kitchen to get some water from the fridge.
“She and Austin went to go lay down when we came back, but Austin went to go look for our manager to change the order of tonight’s set.” Alan answered me over his shoulder while tapping wildly on his controller, causing his little pixelated man to attack Phil’s, ultimately killing him.
“Fuck!” Phil shouted and threw his controller on the couch. “I need a drink.” he said. “Anyone else want one?” he asked, walking to the alcohol cabinet.
“Yeah, a Jameson on the rocks would be great.” Alan said.
“A beer for me, please.” Aaron said from behind his computer screen.

He got the guys their drinks and handed it to them.

“Nothing for you?” he asked me.
“No, thanks. I’m not feeling to well at the moment.” I smiled.
“Where’s Tino? Still sleeping?” he asked me.
“No, he was awake when I left him, but I don’t know. He might have fallen asleep again.”
“Would you mind waking him up then? We have to leave for sound check in an hour and a half and he still needs to shower and get dressed.”
“Sure.” I said and walked back to the bunk area.
“Tino?” I called as I walked in.
“Yeah?” I heard his voice come from behind his bunk curtain.
“Apparently you guys have sound check in an hour and a half, so you need to get ready for the show.” I said as I pulled open the curtain.
“Thanks.” he smiled at me as he got out of the bunk and started walking to the bathroom.

I heard him turn on the shower, the water falling down and splashing onto the ground. Then I decided to do something crazy. I walked back to the curtain dividing the front lounge and the bunk area, peeking through a little space at the side. Alan and Phil were both sitting on the couch in front of the TV sipping on their drinks and going at it again on the X-box game while Aaron was still busy on his laptop. Ok, they’re all preoccupied. I walked back into the bunk area and to the bathroom door. I heard the shower still running and turned the doorknob. It wasn’t locked and, realizing what I was about to do, I suddenly became slightly nervous. The truth is, I was still very much in love with Tino. I just couldn’t handle all the sadness that came with never seeing him while we were dating. I was also constantly worried about what he was up to while he was on tour, I mean so many girls just throw themselves at him all the time and it stressed me out a lot, but hearing Tino say that he wasn’t over me earlier today made me think that maybe, just maybe we should try again and see what happens. I had given it the whole day to think about and finally decided that I just had to pluck up the courage to do something and that was exactly what I was about to do. I shook my head and pushed away the worries of the past as I pushed the bathroom door open and saw him standing in the shower, unaware of my presence. I shut the door behind me quietly and started taking off my clothes very slowly so he wouldn’t notice me until I wanted him to. When I was undressed, I walked to the shower and opened the door which caused him to finally notice me.

“What are you doing?” he asked me with a confused look on his face when he finally saw me standing in front of him, completely naked.
“I have to shower and get ready too. Do you mind if we share your shower?” I asked innocently.

Tino stared at me for a little while before he spoke up. “I’m just about done, you can come back in 5 minutes?”
“But if we shower together, we have more time.” I said as I stepped into the shower and closed the door behind me.
“More time for what?” he questioned as he took a step closer to the wall to make space for me.
“More time for this.” I said as I shoved him into the wall and placed a kiss on his lips.

My arms slowly slid up his wet body to his chest and around his neck. I tangled my fingers in his wet hair and deepened the kiss. Tino, who was very hesitant at first, now slid his arms around my waist and pulled me into his chest, deepening the kiss even more. Tino slid his hands down to underneath my butt, signalling to me that he wanted to pick me up. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist. He turned around and pressed my back up against the wall. His hands slid down my sides to my legs where they came to a stop. My fingers were still tangled in his hair and I tugged at it gently, causing him to gasp and let out a little moan. Our intense kissing calmed down a bit and I slid down the wall. Standing in front of him, I pulled away from his face and looked at him.

“Where did that come from?” he asked, still slightly confused.
“Tino, I never stopped loving you. I just couldn’t handle not seeing you as often as I would have wanted. I’m still so crazily in love with you. I just don’t want to get hurt again. I know I won’t be able to handle another heartbreak, Tino. Not with someone I love as much as I love you.”
“Like I said, I never stopped loving you either. I never wanted to leave you, but I loved you too much to see our love weigh you down so much.” he said and placed another soft kiss onto my lips.
“Tino, I really want to give this, us, another chance. I’m going to quit my job when we get back home and get another one that doesn’t require me traveling so much.”
“What? You can’t quit your job for me!” he exclaimed.
“Tino, I’m not happy with where I work. If quitting means seeing more of you and getting you back, plus getting a job I actually like, then I’m doing it.”

He looked down at me and smiled. The smile looked like a little kid on Christmas morning opening his first present.

“I love you so much, Rosemary Carter McAllister.” he said and pulled me into his chest and hugged me to him tightly.
“I love you too, David Valentino Arteaga.”

We held onto each other tightly as we stood under the warm water stream coming from the showerhead. After about 10 minutes, we heard a knock on the door.

“Yeah?” Tino called out over his shoulder.
“Dude, we have to leave in 30 minutes, you should probably finish up.” Alan’s voice came from outside the bathroom door.
“Yeah, thanks.” Tino replied.

We showered together quickly, Tino washed my hair for me and watched me intently as I stood with my arms above my head in my hair as I rinsed out the shampoo.

“What?” I questioned shyly.
“You’re beautiful.” he breathed. “Sleep by me tonight, please.”
“Of course.” I smiled and finished showering.

After we both got out and dried off, I put my clothes back on and hid in the corner of the bathroom as Tino walked out in his basketball shorts he was going to wear tonight. I waited a minute or two before I slipped out of the bathroom inconspicuously.
