The Drug In Me Was You

"Austin! What the fuck!" Gielle practically yelled.

I watched as the dumb bitch pulled the covers back up over her. Trying to hide her body, why was she even here? And how did she remember Austin? More importantly how did Austin know her? It had been 4 years since high school. Unless they have had a thing going on this whole time...

"Gielle, save it I already knew you were cheating. And I know you're pregnant. I want you get the fuck out, and not come back again. If you do, don't expect anything from me. I'm done." Austin hissed.

Yet I was still standing there, completely taken back by what I was seeing. I never saw this coming. I couldn't even form a logical sentence, I was completely scatter brained. And words didn't even seem fitting for what was happening in front of me.

"I want you out by tonight. Got it?" He said standing up, and pulling up his boxers.

"Okay, Phoenix... Could you help me?" She asked, sadly and I nodded.

I did feel bad, but I couldn't just stand there and look at Skylar laying there, satisfied with ruining a relationship, and breaking another. Between me Austin. She was a man eater, she goes through them like the seasons. She never really had much respect for herself I'm school, but I didn't judge her. I knew she would grow up eventually and figure out that, that wasn't for her. But, apparently here we are four years later and she's still sleeping around.

"Nice to see you Phoenix." She smiled.

"Uh, you too Skylar." I growled, did she really have the balls to talk to me?

"How's your daughter?" Was this bitch really trying to make small talk? Oh hell no.

"How about you shut the fuck up Skylar, you're dirty." I scowled.

"You haven't changed much since high school, still the same bitch." She laughed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Excuse me?" I turned around and eyed her down.

"You heard me, you're just mad because now I fucked him too. You're just pissed because he doesn't want you anymore, and he wants me." She said standing up and walking over to me.

"Fuck you." I said lowly.

"Sorry honey, didn't hear that." She smiled.

I clenched my teeth together and thought about what I should do. Walk away? Or knock her ass clean. Without hesitation I punched her right in the jaw, causing her to tumble backwards onto the floor. She started crying and looked up at me. I got down to her level and looked at her.

"Did you hear that? Hun." I said, before standing up and helping Gielle carry her boxes she had yet unpacked out to my car.

Once we we got her all packed I helped carry them to her car and mine, I was still confused as to why I was helping the woman that broke Austin's heart, but I guess kindness is the best revenge.ceben though she has no memory of me, which I thank God for. But, still Austin now broke my heart for the second time. And there was no going back to him after this one. He did enough damage before with leaving me,cand now he slips our of bed from me to fuck my ex-best friend.

We took everything to her parents house, and once we had explained everything to her parents they thanked me, and I said my goodbyes and proceeded on my way home. Pulling in to the parking garage I sat white knuckling the steering wheel just staring into oblivion. I was so lost, why was all of this resurfacing again? Why? I was doing fine, before I decided to move back into LA. Maybe I should move, well I can't. It's closest to work, and my mom.

I walked in to see Alan sitting at the island in the kitchen eating cereal, not even eating it. Just swirling it around in the bowl. Picking the spoon up and then letting the milk cascade back into bowl, repeatedly he did this.

"Hey bud you okay?" I asked cautiously.

"Huh? Oh yeah. I'm good." He nodded, still staring at the bowl.

"C'mon Allycat, I know you better than that." I said resting my head on his shoulder.

"It's girls Phoenix, I never have any luck with them, ever. And I'm sick and tired of getting my heart broken. I don't think I could handle another break up even if I tried." He said, exhausted.

I totally understood where he was coming from. Austin and I are now officially over. Done and over with, this was the last hoorah, and now he proved he never grew up. When Alan is searching for the same things I was and he was single, and I was single. So, what would we do?

"C'mon let's head to bed." I said standing up, and he nodded.

We got to our doors and he began to open his, but I chimed in quickly.

"Alan, wait!" I said quickly.

"Yes?" He hummed.

"You can, um, sleep with me tonight, only if you want too?" I said adverting his gaze and twiddling with my fingers a bit.

"I'd like that." He smiled, pushing past me into my bedroom.

I stripped slowly, and he watched. I felt so comfortable with this happening though, I don't know why. I was only like this with Austin. I soon disposed of my bra and replaced it with a big t-shirt that was Austin's. And Alan frowned at me, before scurrying off to his room. Returning with his favorite ACDC shirt in hand. Handing it to me. I took off Austin's and replaced it with Alan's, taking in his scent which was mesmerizing to say the least.

I laid down and waited for him to join me, to feel his body up against mine. To feel his closeness, that I now longed for in the worst way imaginable. I felt the weight shift on my bed and he curled himself into my body, fitting perfectly against me. He began trailing kisses to the back of my neck and my ears. Before he abruptly stopped and I felt his breathing hitch.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, worried.

"Phoenix, I think I love you." He whispered.

"I think I love you too." I said, as I felt him smile against my neck.
