"Then he said I'll never stop loving you." I shook my head, still completely confused.

"Well, that's fucked up." Alan laughed.

He was right, this whole situation is fucked up. He basically told me he wanted me back in his life. He wanted to have a relationship, be apart of my famil again. When in actuality it wasn't that simple. Nothing ever was.

"Mommy." Fallon said, standing in the door way of Alan's room, rubbing her tired eyes.

'Yes, sweetie?" I called.

"Can I sleep with you?" She pushed out her bottom lip, and began to pout.

"Yes honey, Alan I'm going to bed. We'll finish this tomorrow yeah?" I asked, and he nodded.

I picked up Fallon and carried her into my bedroom, tossing her on the bed and tickling her. She laughed and laughed, I loved when she was happy. And it pained me to think someday she'll be a teenager going through drama and depression, I never want her smile to fade from her beautiful face. It's true when they say innocence can't last forever.

"Daddy!" She yelled, jumping off the bed right into Austin's arms. I, myself had no clue he was even here.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned, drawing back the covers of my bed.

"Wanted to say goodnight to my little princess." He smiled, and kissed her entire face.

"Oh okay." I nodded.

"Daddy, guess what?" She screamed.

"What honey?" He returned the excitement.

"Me and momma are having a sleepover! Are you sleeping over with us?" She smiled, and Austin cocked his head asking if it was alright.

"Only if it's okay with mommy." He said, looking back and forth between me and her.

"I suppose." I nodded.

"Okay well I'm headed out to the couch." He said, placing her in the bed with me and kissing her forehead.

"I want you to sleep with me and mommy." She teared up, she's just as emotional as I am.

"Uhh, I'm not sure mommy wants that." He said.

"Of course daddy is going to sleep in here with us, you silly goose." I poked her little button nose.

Fallon got in the bed in front of me, and I wrapped my arms around her. I've done this for her since she started having nightmares. Austin laid down and looked me, then hesitantly wrapping his arms around both of us, and all I could think was how perfect this was.

I heard light snores coming from Fallon. And I let thoughts swirl around. Why did Ustin even come over? I know he probably wanted to say goodnight, but still. It was close to midnight, Fallon more than likely would've been asleep by now. So what was the other reason he was here?

"Where's Gielle?" I whispered.

"A friends. Or so I think, I think she's cheating on me once again." He whispered then sighed.

"Oh Austin I'm so sorry." I sincerely spoke.

"It's okay. I should've known this is what would happe, once a cheater always a cheater." He said with confidence.

I laid aid there and let the thought of us sink in. Austin, me, and Fallon. A family. A happy one, maybe. A dis functional one, yes. There was no denying I loved him still, my heart was his from the day I met him, from the day he asked me to be his. The day he gave that ring, that I stupidly threw away. How could I know that he would come back though? I didn't, but here he is and things feel normal again.

I felt at home, and home is where the heart is. And my heart was with Austin.
