Chapter 9

Austin P.O.V.

“Aria, I love you.”

I hesitated, and I shouldn’t have. What I should have done was just come out and say it. Her big blue eyes just stared. She stared at me. Watching my every movement.

“I love you too.” she stated. “I look at you with amazement. I can’t believe I caught your attention. I see how generous you are, and most of all loving. I’m thankful for you Austin, and not only do I love you, but I’ve fallen in love with you.” I couldn’t hold back the grin any longer, but I was so happy that she’s mine. “What?” she asked.

“You feel the same way, and I’m happy that you do.” I smiled.

Aria pulled me in, and I felt the warmth of her lips touch mine. She was the safest place I’ve ever been.

“So tonight there’s this show at Ace of Spades, and uhm I was thinking it would be a kickass third date, but that’s only if you want to.” She said pulling away.

“Who’s playing?” I wondered.

“Twenty One Pilots!” she said with excitement.

“I would love to! I’ve played there like twice with my band so it would fantastic to see a show there,” I said.

“You did?” She questioned. “I remember now! Yeah I think it was the night after you performed I went to see Sum-41,” she said. “Well I’m going to get ready for the show,” she said getting up off the bed.

Aria purchased the tickets, and I felt bad that she had to so I made it up to her. I know a guy that works there to let us in for free. I told Aria to just give em’ to the fans waiting by the band’s tour that were unable to purchase the tickets.

“But I bought them for us,” she exclaimed.

“Shh shh I got this. Trust me it’s okay. I promise,” reassuring her.

“I feel like a burden when you do stuff like this,” she said.

“You’re not. You’re my girl friend, and I want to do things for you, for us.” I finally said.

Aria’s P.O.V.

We got to the show right before the doors opened, and the line was massive. I saw who was opening tonight, and just my luck Ryan’s band. I was kicking myself at the thought that I would be seeing him tonight. It made my stomach quiver, and I just wanted to throw up. I held myself composed so Austin wouldn’t know the change in my persona. He led me to the door and was immediately let in. Austin and I met up with his friend Josh. I took a double take, and it was the drummer of Twenty One Pilots.

“You never cease to amaze me.” I said. He just laughed.

We sat up at the bar, and watched the fans flood in.

“Well before the show starts I’m going to the little boy’s room,” he said.

“I’ll be here,” kissing him goodbye.

I sat there patiently. The anxiety was kicking in. I didn’t want to see Ryan, but I need it’s going to happen, so I need to be prepared. I felt a tapping on my shoulder. I turned around, and felt my eyes widen at the sight of Ryan.

“Can I help you?” Rolling my eyes.

“So Austin Carlile,” he said with a devious smile.

“Look what do you want.” I said sternly.

“I just wanted to say Hi, and ask what are you doing here for the most part.” After he said that chills went down my spine.

“Why does it matter. I wanted to see a show while I’m in town, and was unaware that your talentless band was playing,” I said taking a swig of my drink.

“It’s a shame that you never stopped drinking due to your drinking problem,” he said sarcastically.

“I never had a drinking problem. I don’t have a drinking problem to begin with. The only time I would heavily drink was because you would hurt me mentally, and physically.” Defending myself.

“How about you and I go back to my bus, and do a little more than insult each other.” I said with a letting out smile. He reeked of alcohol and I just wanted Austin to come and save me, but I didn’t want him to meet him. “C’mon beautiful,” reaching for my wrist.

“How about no!” I yelled. That’s when he finally put his hands on me.

Next thing I know I see him getting picked up by the collar of his shirt. Everything started to blur. I patiently held on to the grip consciousness. I heard the security guards taking him away, and saw Austin rushing up to me.

“Are you okay!?” He said concerned, “Do we need to leave? We can go somewhere else.” Comforting me. I had to even say a word, and all I can think of is he put his hands on me. The grip of his hand burned my hand. I just fell into Austin’s arms sobbing. “Shh shh it’s going to be okay. You’re with me. I promise.” Rubbing my back.

“We can stay. I’m fine. I just I need a second to compose myself,” I said.

“Hey guys we have some difficulties with one of the opening bands. Breaking and Entering will not be playing tonight. I apologize for the inconvenience,” said the gentlemen walking back off of stage. It was followed by cheers, and boos. I’m relieved that I won’t be seeing him anymore or anytime soon. Austin had his arms around me for protection during the show. It was silent between us, but I was okay with that. I wasn’t okay with the idea that I felt like I ruined our night.

Notes

When I was writing this I was listening to Tonight Alive, and coudln't think of a band name for Ryan's band so I just decided to name it Breaking and Entering. If there's a band out there named with that named my apologies. I don't own any rights to Breaking and Entering.

Enjoy(:
