Native Tongue

One Month Later

I woke up and felt the cold air blow in through the balcony door. Austin was sitting outside on the balcony of our hotel room. I've come accustomed to him, and god I am thankful for him. I lied in bed watching Austin, watching him write, watching how he looked at the skyline trying to compose the perfect lyric.

My alarm went off which signaled I was up for the day. I got up out of bed and stretched. I walked out to the balcony and felt the flutter of butterflies in the pit of my stomach.

"Good morning beautiful," he smiled.

"Hey sweetie," kissing him on the cheek wrapping my arms around him.

"You're so fucking beautiful in the morning," returning the kiss.

"You think? I mean morning breath and bed head is beautiful?" I laughed sitting on his lap.
He continued to peck me on the lips with little kisses, and soon enough picking me up heading over to our bed.

"No not today, well not right now. I have to get ready, you have to get ready," I chuckled.

"But baby," he whined setting me on the bed.

"No Austin," I smiled. I got out of bed, as he laid in bed. I picked out my clothes for today, and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

Later that day I met up for lunch with Amanda, Aaron's fiance.

"Hey girly!," I said giving her a hug.

"And hey to you too!" she laughed.

"Shall we order lunch?" she asked?

"We shall," I smiled.

"So how are things? How are you and Austin?" she questioned looking at her menu.

"Uhm .." I hesitated trying to hide my expression behind my menu and her eyebrows raised. She was intrigued. "The relationship is perfect, and I have never been so happy," I exclaimed. "But uhm ...I'm a week late for my period. I'm not freaking out, but uh if I am baring a child I don't think its a good idea because I have school next month, and the bands new album is going to drop in a few months .." I finally said putting down my menu.

"If you are I am so happy for you and beyond excited for the two of you! You guys would make perfect parents!" she exclaimed.

"I just I don't know. I mean I'm torn because I would love to have a child with him, but I don't think I'm ready to be a mom. I mean I don't even have a career yet, and I don't want to live off of Austin ..that's unfair of me," I said.

During our lunch we discussed the infinite amount of possibilities and what ifs. After lunch we did some shopping, exploring the city that never sleeps. That evening Amanda and I went back to the hotel, her and Aaron stayed on the floor above us. We departed, and I made my way to Austin and I's room.

"Austin babe I'm home," I cheered to see the room filled with lighted candles, and rose petals on sprinkled all over the room. Austin was standing there on one knee and I couldn't help but gasp.

"Austin what is this?" I finally say teering up.
