Get Together

I followed behind Austin as he lead me up to his house. His house was absolutely gorgeous. I could only dream of owning a house like this. It was so big and in a private neighbor hood, that you had to enter through a gate with a pass code.

"Do you live here alone?" The word escaped my lips before I could think about them. I bit my lip and ran my hands through my hair, nervously.

"Most nights the guys are over but other than that, yes I do." He let out a little laugh, probably thinking about funny memories with his band mates. He was so happy with his life and here I am, dragging him into my fucked up excuse of a life. My stomach started to hurt thinking about what Ian could be planning at this very moment. I didn't want Austin to get hurt, let alone get killed, because of me. "Faith?" He snapped me out of my thoughts. I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked up at him. He had the front door open and was waiting for me to walk in.

"I'm sorry. I was just thinking about what has happened in the past 24 hours."

"Well stop worrying. We are having a party tonight. The guys are bringing their girlfriends and we are having a barbecue tonight." He smiled and ushered me inside.

"Ummm..." I didn't have anything to wear, other than what I was wearing.

"If you're worried about what to wear, just stop." He laughed, like he could read my mind but I think my expression and body language gave me up. "What you're wearing is perfect." I crossed my arms over my chest, all of a sudden feeling self conscious of myself. I already know I don't have the perfect body but I haven't felt self conscious in a long time. Maybe it was because Austin Carlile, a man who many girls fawn over and want to be with, was standing in front of me. The last time I felt self conscious was in high school, around all the thin, pretty girls.

A pair of hands were placed on my shoulder, making me flinch at the contact.

"What's going on in that head of yours, Faith?" My eyes snapped up to meet Austin's brown ones. He had a small smile on his face and his eyes were searching mine for any kind of answer. I inwardly groaned and shook my head, biting my lip.

"A lot of things." I wasn't lying. My mind was a mess. I couldn't focus on one thing at a time.

"Well you're going to have fun tonight. Drink some, play beer pong, and enjoy yourself. Get to know the girls since they will be joining us on tour." I was relieved that I wasn't going to be the only girl on a bus full of men but then I felt terrified. What if they don't like me? What if they tease me like the girls in high school did? What if- "Faith, I can see you worrying again. The girls are going to love you."

"Are you a mind reader or something?" I giggled, staring up at him, raising an eyebrow. He chuckled and shook his head.

"I'm just really good at reading people, I guess." He smiled and I shook my head. "Let me show you around." He showed me through his house, from the bedrooms to his music room. "This is where I go to get away from everything." I walked into a big room behind him, seeing a projector screen and multiple gaming systems. A few guitars were on stands around the room. Multiple awards were placed on shelves, along with shelves filled with CDs.

"I would go here to get away too." I let out a small laugh, walking over to his collection of video games, scanning through the games. "Oh hell yeah!" I pulled Call of Duty: Black Ops, turning to him, smirking. "Have time to get your ass kicked?"

"You're on!" He grabbed two controllers, handing me one, before setting everything up.

•••••••

"FUCK!" Austin screamed loudly as I killed him with a sticky grenade, winning the fourth time in a row. I couldn't help but to laugh loudly, rolling on the floor, holding my stomach. "You got lucky!" He pouted, crossing his arms over his chest like a little kid.

"Come on, Carlile. Just admit I'm better than you." Before he could think of a come back, we heard the front door open followed by Alan's voice.

"Honey! I'm home!" I heard some laughs after he yelled to Austin.

"Let's go, Mr. Sore Loser." I tugged at Austin's arm until he laughed and finally stood up.

"How in the fuck did you get so good?"

"Get so good at what?" I snapped my head up to see Alan smirking and wiggling his eyebrows at us. I smacked my palm against my forehead. The girl standing beside Alan, smacked his arm. "Ow." He jutted out his bottom lip and rubbed his arm.

"I was talking about Black Ops, you fucking perv." Austin said walking out of the room. "She beat me four fucking times in a row." He lightly shoved my shoulder and smiled at me.

"What?! We have never been able to beat him since he got that game!" Phil was shocked and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Well, I've had a lot of free time." My shoulders rose and fell absentmindedly.

"Man, you lost to a chick. You lost your touch." Tino laughed loudly, poking fun at Austin.

"Come on you fucks. Let's start cooking and let the girls get to know Faith." Austin patted my shoulder and I looked up at him. His smile was reassuring and encouraging. We all walked out into the back yard. A big pool was the center of mine attention.

Oh god, no swimming. Please no swimming.

I followed the girls to some chairs around the pool and sat down. I stared at the pool for a second before one of the girls spoke.

"Let me introduce myself since Alan is a fuck and never introduces his girlfriend. I'm Zoe." Zoe had long brown hair and bright green eyes. She was thin but short like me. I could already tell why Alan was with her. She was feisty but sweet at the same time.

"I'm Katie, Aaron's girlfriend." She had short black hair and her eyes were dark brown, almost black. She was average sized, just like me. Her facial features were soft and she had a lip ring.

"My name is Leanna, Tino's girlfriend." She looked like she could be a Suicide Girl. She was covered in tattoos and her eyes were almost a gold color. Her hair was a deep red and reached the middle of her back. She had a Monroe piercing and her ears were stretched. I was already starting to feel more comfortable with these girls.

"Last but not least, I'm Rue, Phil's girlfriend." I instantly thought of the Hunger Games when she said her name but she didn't look like Rue at all. Her eyes were bright bluish green color and her hair was pink and black. She was taller than me but not by much. She had a few tattoos on her arms and piercings all the way up her right ear.

"Well I'm Faith. I'm going to be taking photographs for the band on their next tour." All the girls had a smile on their faces.

"That's so cool!" Rue shrieked, making the guys turn their heads around.

"Go back to cooking, assbutts!" Zoe yelled, earning laughs from everybody.

"Nice Supernatural reference." I giggled.

"Oh my god, yes! Finally someone understood what I was talking about!" Zoe wrapped her arms around me and I couldn't help but to hug her back. "You're my new best friend."

"Hey!" The other girls whined in unison.

"Oh hush! You girls never understand my references to the show." They shrugged their shoulders and conversed with each other. "So, you and Austin already seem pretty close." She leaned back in her chair and smiled at me. A grin tugged at the corners of my mouth.

"Yeah, he is really sweet and funny." Zoe smirked at my comment.

"You two would definitely make a cute couple. Austin hasn't had a girlfriend since Melody." I glanced over to the guys, to see Austin staring at me. Heat rose to my cheeks and I focused back on Zoe. "She cheated on him with one of the crew members. He was completely crushed because he loved her so much. To be honest, Alan and I thought he would never get over her but apparently he has. I haven't seen him smile so much since it happened." I simply nodded and stared at my feet.

"That's sad that anybody would cheat on him. He's so sweet and caring." I knew the feeling of being cheated on. My other ex-boyfriend, Matt, cheated on me with a girl I worked with. I was crushed even though we were only dating for like two months but it still hurts. It makes you feel like you're not good enough.

"Dinner's ready!" Alan's voice squeaked as he tried to sound like a mom calling her children for dinner. Everybody cracked up and made their way to eat. I stayed in my seat, not feeling very hungry. I pulled my phone out to see if I had any messages and thank god I didn't.

"Are you going to eat?" Austin sat down beside me, with a plate of food. I shook my head. He stared at me, knitting his eyebrows together. "Why not?" His voice wasn't mean or rude. Concern washed through his words. "He didn't text you again, did he?" He dropped his voice so only I would hear him.

"No, thank god." I let out a nervous laugh and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Then why aren't you going to eat? I slaved over that hot grill." He tried his best to be serious but failed. "Wow I sounded just like a mom." His laughter filled the air, bringing me to shake my head and laugh with him.

"I just feel self conscious eating around people." I finally looked up at him and he was staring at me.

"Don't be self conscious. There is no reason to be." I sighed, feeling defeated. He grinned and sat his food down. "You're eating." He grabbed my hand and led me over to the table where the food was. I grumbled at him and he just laughed, handing me a plate. I playfully glared at him but made myself a hot dog and put some chips on my plate.

Once I had my plate, we all sat down and talked about senseless stuff for about an hour before Alan jumped up and grabbed Zoe. I instantly knew what he was doing as she began to shriek and smack his back.

"ALAN NO!" He threw her into the pool despite her screaming. I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to hold in my laughter. Tino ran up behind him and pushed him in before picking up Leanna and jumping into the pool with her.

"Don't you dare do it!" Rue screamed as Phil scooped her up, running full force. She screamed again before going underwater. I sat there and laughed hard, making my stomach hurt.

"Aaron, if you do this, you'll regret it!" Katie was backing away from Aaron and he had an evil grin on his face. She kept backing away from him, trying to stop him but he ran to her, pulling her into the water with him.

"You're next, Faith!" Alan shouted from the pool and I shot up out of my seat, running the opposite way of the pool. Austin's footsteps were behind me. I kept zig zagging everywhere, trying to escape his grasp. My short legs couldn't ran as fast as him. He caught me before I could shut the patio door. I threw my phone onto the grass before he cornered me.

"Don't you dare, Austin Robert." I pointed my index finger at him and he grinned before snatching me up, effortlessly. "NO! AUSTIN DON'T DO IT!"

"TOO LATE!" He yelled jumping into the pool, with his arms around my waist. The water was cold but Austin's body heat warmed me up instantly. Within seconds we resurfaced, gasping for air and laughing hard. My hands resting on his shoulders, I looked at him. He had the biggest smile on his face, making me smile. His arms were still wrapped around my waist, while my legs were wrapped around his waist. We were looking into each other's eyes, for what seemed like forever.

"Hey!" Water splashed against us and I turned my head to see Zoe sitting on Alan's shoulders. "Let's play Chicken!" I swear Alan is a five year old at heart.

"Alright, let's do this." Austin laughed picking me up out of the water and placing me on his shoulders. I shrieked at the movement but balanced myself quickly. "Ready, GO!"
