Chapter Forty-Nine

Emily

It's been three days since Brooklyn left and everyone keeps telling me she just needed

some space, but I miss her.

Brittany has been keeping me company and helping with my school.

Which I was doing now.

"Okay, so make sure you finish your math. Then put it in your folder and I will go over it

later." Brittany said.

"I got it!" I sighed dramatically and she laughed.

I was doing my math homework for a couple minutes when Alan walked in.

"Hello little Em and Em!" He said giving me a hug.

"Shhh I'm doing homework!" I said and got back into my "groove."

Alan took a step back, "Oh okay little miss sassy!"

Giggling, I looked up and stuck my tongue out at him.

"Hey watch it little girl or I will cut off your tongue." Alan said.

Brittany and Alan started laughing while I just kept my mouth shut so he wouldn't take

my tongue!

*Time Skip*

I was with all the guys and we were sitting outside of the tour bus.

Well the were sitting on a chair, I was sitting on Austin who was my chair.

"Austin?" I whispered.

"Yes Emily?" He asked and turned his attention to me.

I looked down, "Um, when is Brooklyn coming back?" I asked a little louder.

Everyone stopped talking and looked at both of us.

Austin sighed and looked around, I don't think he knew what to tell me.

"I'm not sure sweetheart, but I'll call her later after your go to bed and ask her okay?"

I nodded and closed my eyes leaning back against him.

I just wanted Brooklyn to come back.

When Emily asked me that question I had no clue what to tell her.

I mean what do you tell a 10 year old who was saved by her idol and her idol was

kidnapped by a crazy man.

"Oh Emily, Brooklyn was kidnapped by a crazy man who was paid by someone to take

her. I'm not sure when she will come back or what will happen to her, but don't worry

I'm sure she will be okay." Yeah like that will work.

I looked down and saw she fell asleep.

"Hey guys I'm going to take her to bed and then call David and ask if he got any more

information." I said as quiet as I could.

Everyone nodded and said goodnight.

I picked up Emily and carried her into the bus.

Putting her in her bunk I closed the curtain and grabbed my phone going into the back

lounge.

Scrolling through my phone I found David's number and called him.

David: Hey Austin.

Me: Hey David. So, um, have you heard anything yet?

I could hear David talking to someone, maybe it was the police?

David: Oh sorry! I'm talking to a couple buddies of mine they are private investigators

and are helping with searching for Brooklyn.

I smiled, "Really? That's great! How has it been going?"

David: Very well actually we have picked up on Brooklyn's phone signal they are just

trying to pinpoint the location.

Oh thank you! I was straying to worry we would never find her!

Me: That's amazing! Thank you so much David and I know I'm saying thank you and

that you are her dad but it's been hell not having her here (hehe anyone know where

that is from?)

David: I understand Austin. We are doing everything can right now. Make sure you

keep your phone on, they think they may be able to find it sometime to night so I will

call you.

Me: Okay, thank you so much David!

David: Of course! Bye Austin!

Me: Bye David!

After I hung up I had a huge smile on my face.

David and his friends were so close to finding her and I really hope they find her

tonight.

It's been three days since I've last seen her.

I opened my photos and looked through them, seeing pictures of Brooklyn and I that

date back to Warped Tour when I first met her.

Getting up I walked into the bunk area and got into Brooklyn's bunk.

When I closed my eyes I started humming Brooklyn's favorite song. If You're James

Dean, I'm Audrey Hepburn.
