The End Of Time
Emily's Story
Thirty-Seven
Emily
"Okay. Um, well, when I was 8 my dad started drinking really badly and my mom would
smoke a lot so she was always high. It started out with my dad just yelling at me a lot
but then he started hitting me. My mom wouldn't do anything even when I would
scream for her. When I turned 9 is when I started cutting, it was just a release that I
couldn't get any other way." I said and looked up at Austin and Brooklyn seeing them
looking at me intently waiting for me to continue.
"But then I heard about The End of Time when I came across a YouTube video. It was
one of your interviews and it happened to have Austin in it and I checked out both of
your bands. You guys helped a lot. But when it was around my 10th birthday my dad got
really drunk and so did my mom. My dad raped me and my mom just sat there
watching. I ran away the day before the signing."
Brooklyn got up and say next to me, "Emily, I'm sorry that you had to go through that at
such a young age. But I promise you that Austin and I will do everything possible to
keep you safe and we will figure out if you have some relatives and if you don't I'm sure
we will find somewhere for you to go and be happy."
I nodded and look at her, "Thank you."
She smiled, "It is no problem. Now Austin and I wanted to talk to you about
something."
"As you may or may not know, Brooklyn and I have a tour coming up." Austin said and I
nodded waiting for him to continue.
"We both have talked about it and we would like to know if you would like to go on tour
with us?" He asked.
I stood up and looked between them, "Really?"
Brooklyn nodded and I squealed hugging her.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said.
"No problem at all! Now Aleah is coming over with clothes for you." Brooklyn said.
I smiled, they both are doing so much for me. I really hope they can't find a relatives
because I want to stay with them.
-Brooklyn-
Hearing Emily's story made me relate to my childhood though without the rape.
"You okay?" Austin asked walking out onto the deck.
I sighed, "Yeah, it's just hard you know? Emily has been through so much and she
deserves the best and I'm not sure that relatives will be able to give her that."
He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist as I turned in his arms
and wrapped mine around his waist.
"Brooklyn, where is this leading too?"
I bite my lip, "Well, I was thinking maybe after everything calms down we could talk
about adopting her? Like I don't know I could see us having her and taking care of her."
"Brooklyn..."
"I know, I know, but we don't have to decide now. Like I said after everything calms
down we could talk about it."
Austin nodded and kissed my head as the door bell rang.
We walked inside and I opened the door seeing Aleah.
"Here are all the bags, there is like 30. I have to go meet with Tony sorry I can't stay, we
are going to meet up with his parents."
"Oh no it's fine! See you soon Aleah get ready for the tour!" I yelled watching her run to
her car.
"You too, love ya Brooks!" She yelled back.
"Love you too Aleah!"
I had Austin help me grab the bags and carry them up to Emily's room with me.
"Are those all mine?" I heard Emily ask after our third trip.
"Yes they are! Now here I'll help you organize them and you can try them on. Okay, out
Austin!" I said and pushed him out of her room as he laughed at me.
I closed the door and sat on the floor pulling clothes out for Emily to try on.
Emily had tried on maybe 30 different outfits and we weren't done but she was taking a
break.
"Brooklyn?" She asked looking up from the clothes.
"Yes, Emily?"
"Thank you for everything." Emily said wiping her eyes.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her, "You're welcome. Don't worry about a thing
though Austin and I are here for you."
She nodded and we got back to the clothes.
I was happy and content knowing that everything was going pretty well with Emily.
Though I was hoping that in a year or two Austin and I would be married and adopting her,
even having kids of our own.
Notes
Writing Emily's story was hard it made me cry. But more drama to come and next chapter will be the start of the tour. Leave some comments, keep reading, and thank you for the support! c:
I think I'd rather have you finish "It's not over till it's over" (because you've already started writing a sequel and I really want to see how they'll manage with Brooklyn's memory loss) but I also love "The end of time" a lot.
So anyway I hope you'll keep writing at least one of these stories because you're a very good writer :)
