The Storm (An Austin Carlile fanfic)
~Chapter 1~
Callie's POV
I walked out Barnes & Noble into the cold September afternoon. I breathed in the cool, fresh air. I just ended my shift at work and now on my way home to see my sister Eleana. Eleana is 23 and has recently became pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, Andrew. I couldn't be happier about becoming an aunt. I decided to stop by Starbucks to get my all time favorite Mocha Frapuccino and cookies before I headed home.
Walking into the familiar coffee shop, I was hit with the smell of coffee of various kinds. I felt at home when I'm inside of here. The quiet chit-chat that goes on, where you can enjoy sitting and enjoying your favorite book, go on your laptop, or just plain in general, have a cup of coffee and chill out after a stressful day of work. I ordered and waited until it was ready. I was nodding to a song that has been in my head all day and that I was now listening to on my ipod. "Meet my dedication, inspiration." The catchy tune that has been repeating in my mind was O.G. Loko by Of Mice & Men. "Here you go ma'am." The Batista said in a cheery voice. "Thank you." I smiled back and took my drink and small pouch of cookies. I turned around to bump into the chest of a man. "I'm so sorry." I said quietly in a small voice. Luckily, my drink didn't spill on both of us; it would have been awkward.
"No, I'm sorry." The man said. I looked up and almost dropped my Frapuccino. The man was Austin Carlile. I bumped into my hero. The man whose music has saved my life. The man who I dreamed of when I lay my head to sleep at night. "Holy shit.." I whispered. "Yeah, um.. I'm Austin Carlile." He rubbed the back of his neck with a small smile on his face. "Yeah." I didn't realize I was on the verge of drooling. I looked like a fucking idiot in front of him probably. I cleared my throat. "I'm sorry, I'm Callie, Callie Anafry." I said as I held out my hand and he gladly took it.
"Nice to meet you Callie." He smiled widely. Damn him. He had this effect on me everytime I looked at a picture or watched a video of him. It gave me chills and 'feels'. "Uh, I have to um.. go but it was nice to finally meet you." I stuttered but managed to smile and walked towards the door. "Wait." I heard his voice call out. I stopped walking, turned and met his gaze again. "Can I have your number?" He asked hesitantly. "Yeah." I grinned and reached in my back pocket and grabbed my phone, pausing the music player and handed it to him.
He handed me his and I put my number in. "Here you go." I gave his phone back to him. We brushed hands and I felt a spark. I could tell he felt it too; his eyes went wide from the sensation. I blushed and waved bye to him. I continued my way towards Eleana's and mine's house, sipping and nibbling on a cookie. I really needed a car but our house was only a few minutes away from Barnes & Noble, so It wasn't too bad. The house wasn't anything fancy. Just a 2 story, with a nice front and backyard, a nice size pool in the backyard. It's comfy. I walked into the house and was immediately met with heat and the usually scent of Cinnamon. "I'm home." I raised my voice loud enough for Eleana to hear. "Thank god, I was getting lonely." Eleana walked towards me. I gave her a hug and we walked into the living. I sat down on the couch. "Ugh, It feels so good so melt into this couch." I laughed. Eleana laughed with me. "You're suck a dork." She said.
"Where's Andrew? Did he have to work late?" I asked. "Yeah, won't be out till two o'clock in the morning." Eleana said sadly. "Well, Little sis is here now." I said with a chuckle. "Goody, so how was your day?" I froze and broke out a smile on my face. "Guess who I met?" I said. "Wait, was it Britney Spears?" She laughed. "Ew, no it was.. Austin Carlile." I giggled. "Holy shit, THE Austin Carlile? From Of Mice & Men?" She shouted. I nodded my head. "You lucky bitch." She mumbled and looked at the tv. "Yeah, I was at Starbucks getting the usual and I bumped into his chest while I was leaving and I swear I had the most priceless look on my face." I laughed. "Did he smell good?" She looked back at me. "Yes, he did." I said. "And I got his number and I don't know... We touched hands and had some sort of connection. Not like in a 'Omg I just bumped into my hero' way but a.. Romantic way I guess." I was looking at my hands when I looked up and saw my sister staring at me. "What?" I asked. "Nothing." She smiled mysteriously and looked back at the tv. My phone vibrated on my butt. I took it out of my pocket and saw that I had 1 new message. From Austin. "Oh.my.fucking.god." I whispered, pausing after every word. I unlocked my phone.
From: Austin Carlile :P Message: Hey, wanna meet tomorrow for lunch? (:
I smiled. I can't believe Austin is texting me right now. I hit reply.
To: Austin Carlile :P Message: Yeah, That'll be great!
I hit send and waited for a reply. He texted back almost immediately.
From: Austin Carlile :P Message: Great! See you at 1:00. Could I pick you up? (:
To: Austin Carlile :P Message: Yeah, address is 1523 Grayson st. Can't wait to see you. (:

I locked my phone and turned towards Eleana. "I'm going to bed. Oh and I left you a cookie on the table" I said. "Why thank you, always looking after me." She said with a laugh. I hugged her goodnight and went upstairs to my room. I changed into sweats and a t-shirt. I went into my bathroom and wiped the remaining makeup off my face. When I was completely satisfied with my look, I put my hair in a ponytail and went to bed. Patiently waitng for it to be tomorrow already.
