[Third Person POV]


Phoenix was woken up by her husband's phone ringing. She glanced at the man beside her and she can hear him snoring. They are off touring now.

"Babe..." She tapped him while half-awake with her eyes half closed. "Your phone."

"Hmmm..." Alan just shifted his position.

"Alan..." She tapped his cheeks hoping it would wake him up. Alan's phone just won't stop ringing. If it was just near her, she would just answer it. But it was on the other bedside table.

"Damn Alan! Your phone!" Phoenix was getting irritated as it disturbed her good night sleep.

"Ashby!" She slapped his cheeks enough for Alan to woke up.

"What the hell babe?" Alan scratched his nape.

"Your phone won't stop ringing!"

Alan looked at his phone and looked at the screen before answering it.

"Fuck Austin?! Do you know what time it is?!"

Phoenix immediately looked at her husband when she heard Austin's name.

"Fine. I'll be down in a minute." Then Alan ended the call.

"What's wrong? Is he ok?"

Alan got off the bed before he answered. "Austin's downstairs. By the sound of him, looks like he has a problem."

Phoenix hurriedly got off their bed too.

"Hep! Where the hell are you going?" Alan asked his wife.

"I want to see Austin."

"Stay in bed Babe." Alan glanced at their clock. "It's 2am. You need to sleep."

She pouted. "I just wanted to see him babe. Please?"

"Fine!" Alan stood up.

Phoenix smiled.

"What brought you here at this hour?"

Austin looked up to where the voice came from. She saw her while being helped by her husband to walk downstairs. Then a smiled flashed on his lips. Damn! He missed her so much. It's been a couple of months when he last saw her. She changed, a lot! For him, she even looked more beautiful. Her pregnancy became her. He doesn't even care even if she gained a lot of weight.

"Why are you still up? Don't you know it's bad for a soon-to-be-mother?" Austin helped Phoenix when she reached the last step.

She kissed him on his cheeks. "Where have you been?"

"I don't know what to do with her anymore. She said she wanted to see you." Alan shook his head.

Austin saw how Phoenix pouted.

He shook his head smiling. "I brough some food. Let's eat!"

"Alright!" Phoenix hurriedly went to the dining.

Alan and Austin just finished eating but Phoenix was still munching her food up to the last bite.

"Babe, enough of that. Aren't you tired yet?" Alan tried to stop his wife.

"When is her due?" Austin asked him while watching Phoenix eat.

"This week."

"Really? So, any moment she will have the baby?"

Alan nodded. "Yup." popping the 'P'

"Her OB said that anytime this week, she will have her delivery."

Austin nodded.

"And it's a boy." Alan grinned.

And he gave Austin a high five.

"Wait, what seems to be bothering you if I may ask?" Alan asked him.

He stayed quiet for a moment before answering his bestfriend.

"I don't know if I can call this a problem. Actually, its not a big deal. I just didn't expect this any sooner."

"What do you mean?" Alan's eyebrows burrowed.

"Do you still remember Ashley?"

"Yeah, what about her?" Alan's eyes went wide when he remembered the agreement of his family with her family. "I thought it was just spur of the moment?"

"Oh my! Don't tell me you're engaged Aus? Who's Ashley?"

Austin smirked at her and looked back to Alan. "That's also what I thought. Dad called me yesterday and told me that we will meet her and her family next week to finalize the arrangement."

Alan smiled while he shook his head.

"Do you even know her Austin?" Phoenix stopped eating and looked intently at Austin.

"I know her but not personally."

"Is she pretty?" Phoenix sounded like a private investigator. "Well, she should be. And she should also have a ton of patience knowing she will be married to this jerk." then she pointed at Austin.

Austin pretended to bite Phoenix fingers. "Why don't you go to bed and sleep Mrs. Ashby?"

"Yeah, why don;t you go to bed babe. You told me you just want to see Aus." Alan looked at his wife.

Phoenix rolled her eyes. "Whatever! You're really bestfriends!" She tried to stand up and Alan helped her. "But Alan, I'm not yet done eating."

"Enough Phoebe!"

"Hmpf! If I know you're just going to drink." Then Phoenix went up the stairs.

Phoenix was woken by the intense pain of her stomach. Alan was not beside her so she thought Austin and him might still be drinking.

The pain is come and go.

'Fuck! The baby's coming!'
Inhale... Exhale...

She tried to calm herself. She stood up and got her baby bag with her things then opened the door.

"ALLLLLAAAAANNNNN!!!" She yelled at Alan while clutching her big belly. But no answer. She can saw from their bedroom door that her husband and his besfriend is snoring sleeping on the floor.

She yelled again for her husband and tried to call Austin as well but both of them didn't even flinched.

"Phoenix, what's wrong?" She saw Nana came out from her room.

"N-nana, my belly hurts!"

"Are you going to have the baby now?" Then Nana's eyes went wide. "We need to get you to the hospital!" Then the old lady helped her to go downstairs.

"Aaahhh!" The pain is getting intense.

"Where is your husband?!"

She pointed him. Then Nana slapped Alan.

"Alan! your wife is having your baby! Let's get her to the hospital!" She saw how Alan was startled from his sleep.

"Nana? Why did you slap me?" he tried to rub his cheeks to lessen the pain.

"Phoenix is having the baby!"

She saw how Alan got up. "A-are you okay?"

"No! I'm not okay!" then another throb of pain.

"Fuck!" Then Alan carried his wife, bridal style. "Don't worry, I'll get you to the hospital now!" Then he stopped. "Oh shit! I forgot my key!" Alan put her down. "Wait for me here, I'll get my keys, Okay?" Clearly, her husband is panicking.

"Nana, did you see my car keys?"

"No, was it in your bedroom table?"

"No I can't find it there!" Alan's drunkenness left his body instantly.

"Aaahhh!" Alan heard her wife in pain.

'SHIT!'

"Austin! Austin!" He slapped his bestfriend to wake him up.

"Hmmm..."

"Where's your car key? I'll borrow your car!"

"Why? Where's your car?!"

"I can't find my keys. Let me borrow yours."

"No! I just overhauled that."

"Fuck Carlile! Stop your childishness! Phoenix gonna have the baby, NOW!"

Austin shot up and almost tripped his toes. "Let's go!"

"Austin hurry up!" Alan is panicking at the backseat with Phoenix beside him.

"I know! I know!" Clearly, Austin is panicking too. His hands were shaking.

"I can't do this! I'm gonna die! Oh!" Austin heard Phoenix held her breathe due to the pain and he dropped his keys.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Alan and Austin were outside the delivery room. They're both nervous as hell. Alan was scared to death.

He saw that some of the nurses where looking at them. Then Alan realized they're not properly clothed. He's wearing his cut-down shirt from inside out. He's not wearing any slippers. Austin forgot to wear his pants so he's in his boxers. Thankfully he's wearing a sleeveless shirt but still showing half of his tattoos.

Both of the stood up when Phoenix doctor showed up. "Who's the husband?"

"ME!" Austin and Alan both raised their hands.

Alan glared at his bestfriend.

"No, he is the husband." Austin pointed at Alan while scratching the back of his head "Sorry. I was just carried away."

"Anyway, Mr. Ashby, I wanted to let you know that your wife is not yet having the baby."

"What?!" His voice flooded the room.

"Evidently, your wife mistook the stomach pain to the labor pain. Did she eat before she went to bed last night?"

"The fuck!" Austin placed his both hands on his face.

Alan didn't know what to say.

"Mr. Ashby, you may now bring your wife home." The doctor turned his back smiling.

"Wow! what was that?! Punk'd?!" Austin shook his head.

"Don't look at me like that!" Phoenix glared to the two guys in front of her. "It was so painful I thought I'm gonna have him!"

Alan didn't say anything. He was busy toying with his cup of coffee. Austin glared at her then placed his hand on her forehead.

They're at McDonalds right now having a coffee. It was now 4am.

"You always eat, that's why!" Austin told Phoenix.

She pouted. Austin has a point. If she didn't eat last night, she wouldn't feel bloated. Phoenix glanced at her husband who's still silent.

She saw how the two panicked just to bring her to the hospital. They're not even properly dressed and to think that they might have a hangover.

She fight the urge to smile just looking at them. Most especially to Austin. He doesn't care if he's almost naked. Thankfully there's not much people inside.

Phoenix felt another throb in her belly. She tried to held her breathe. 'No!' she bit her lower lip.

"Why?" Alan asked her. That's the first time he spoke to her after they left the hospital.

She shook her head. "Nothing!" She's not sure if she will have the baby this time or another pain because of over-eating.

"Let's go home!" Austin stood up after he finished his coffee. "Fuck! I wanted to lay down." Alan stood up and followed bestfriend.

They left her?!

Phoenix stood up. When she tried to walk, then the most intense pain shoot up in his belly.

"Wait!"

Austin and Alan looked at her.

"Don't mind your wife Alan!" Then Austin wrapped his hand around Alan's shoulder. "I bet it's just another one of her jokes."

She felt a liquid dripping down her thighs. "M-my water... broke!"

She saw how their faces turned pale.

"Hello baby boy!" Austin waved at the baby in the nursery room. The baby really looked like Alan.

"What is his name?" Austin asked Alan.

"It's Alexx Ashby."

"You and Phoenix' name?"

Alan nodded. "It felt like forever seeing him, my son."

"I know you're going to be a good father Alan."

"Thanks man. Kidding aside, are you decided to continue with the engagement?"

"I have no choice dude."

"I'm wishing for your happiness."

"Why?! I AM happy!"

"You know what I mean."

"Fine!"

"I'm serious Carlile!"

"I know! Why the sudden drama Alan?"

"I'm just concerned at you Aus."

"I know. And I love you too!" then Austin playfully tried to kiss Alan on the cheeks.

"Dammit Austin! Try to do it again, you'll woke up in ER."

Then they both laughed.
