Ghost in the Walls

Chapter 3

It's been six months. I still watch my parents all the time. I still visited my old school. I still saw Oli tho I never talked to him, we'd lock eyes and he'd quickly break contact. I guess I shouldn't have hoped that he would still talk to me after everything I did to him. Today I just decided to stay home. I watched as my mom made dinner for the both of them. A couple of weeks after they found me, they were given my bones to burry. There really wasn't any evidence so they didn't have any suspect list but know I wasn't a missing person. Now everyone knew I was murdered.

I left our dinning room and went to my room. They still haven't touched it. My bed was still exactly how I left it. My dirty clothes still balled up in the corner. The only real difference in the room was the thick layer of dust covering everything. I walked over to an old picture of me, sky, and steph. We were friends since middle school and just stayed really good friends until I died. I chuckled at the silly faces we made that day. We went to the park and steph thought it was a good idea to shove her cupcake in my face. It was pretty funny.

I looked at all of my baseball trophies and remembered all the times my dad would take me to the field to practice. I took a last look around my room before leaving and going for a walk. I wasn't sure of the time but it was pretty dark. I walked the streets of my town. Seeing old friends houses, empty parks were children would come after school to climb the monkey bars and swing on the swing set. I walked past the town shops and starting businesses. I have always thought that things were more beautiful at night. I turned down an empty street and saw a women walking by herself. I didn't recognize her but she looked familiar. Like I've seen her before. She wore this tan long trench coat type coat with black dress pants and shiny black heals. She looked up and I got a really good look at her, dark dirty blond hair, pale skin, pink lips and pretty cheekbones. Light brown eyes with thick lashes and pink cheeks.

She was far ahead of me but was quickly closing the distance as if she were in a hurry. A car turned down the street and quickly pulled up to the lady. I walked closer to them wanting to hear the conversation.

"Honey, just get in the car ok? I'm sorry!" A big man said. I knew that voice, but where?

"No! I'm not going back there! Just leave me." The women told the man. He obviously didn't like that. He stepped out the car and grabbed her arm.

"Oww! Your hurting me! Let me go!" She tried breaking his grip but it was no use. He was too strong.

"No! Your not leaving me! Get in the fucking car!" He harshly whispered. I know, I know that voice. But how? Was he an old teacher? Or worked In a store? She struggled against him again but he pulled her closer and covered her mouth.

"Hey!" I yelled coming closer but it was no use. He couldn't hear me. He opened his back door and shoved her in the back seat. She looked terrified and started to scream again before his huge hands were covering half her face, blocking air form entering. Her eyes showed all the fear and terror in them. She struggled against his hands but it was futile. He was too strong

"Hey, get off her, she can't breath!" I yelled again, trying to grab him but it was no use, I went right through.

"Stop. Please stop." I breathed as I watched the life leave her eyes. There was nothing I could do. Not a damn thing, and it only killed me more inside. I couldn't save her. He threw here onto the floor and quickly closed the door. He ran over to the drivers side and quickly drove away. I didn't get a good look at his face but I saw his eyes. The eyes of a murderer. I just watched as he killed that women. It was then, as I watched him turn the street that I knew why I had recognized his voice. I recognized it because it was the voice of my killer.

I didn't know what to do so I stood there. I stood there for hours. I didn't move until the sun came up and the street became visible with life all around. I ran to the high school as fast as I could. I had to find Oli and warn him that my murderer was still out there and that he'd done it again. I ran through the building looking for him but I couldn't find him. I went to Mr.Kebler's class but I still couldn't find him. When it was time for the students to leave I still hadn't found Oli and I didn't know where he lived so I couldn't go to his house. I didn't leave the school until all the cars were gone and all that remained was the custodians. I walked back to my house and watched over my parents for the remainder of the night.

I went to the high school every day for three weeks. Everyday I would look for Oli but he would never show. I knew he still went to school because his name was still called in class. After school ended I would go home and make sure my parents were ok before I would leave and walk the streets looking for any one alone or my murderer. Which ever came first. I never found anyone, so I'm pretty thankful for that.
