An Alan Ashby Fanfiction

The beep from the tour bus probably woke up half my neighbourhood. I ran outside to signal to the bus I had heard them and rushed inside to grab my stuff. I could see looks of confusion from the band member’s faces even from behind the tinted windows, as they were expecting Jared. Once my belongings and I were in the bus and I was seated across from the band, I explained everything to the boys.
“Hey guys… There has been a change of plans, I’m sorry to say…” I began but was interrupted by Alan Ashby, the guitarist for Of Mice And Men.
“Victoria, What’s happened to Jared?” Alan asked.
“Jared’s decided that he doesn’t want to be apart of this tour anymore.” I said cautiously. These guys were going to explode from anger, I could almost see the colour red in a few of their faces. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. The bus had already started driving so I had no idea if I was staying on the tour or…
“Do you know our itinerary?” Austin asked me.
“I-I yeah, yeah I do. Jared emailed everything to me at 3:30 this morning so I’ve had a chance to go over everything and memorise the majority of it.” I stammered.
“Wait, you’ve only known everything for about 3-4 hours? Oh my god!” Tino threw his hands up in the air, stood up and left to go into one of the rooms. But before he completely left the room I heard him mutter “this tour is fucked.”
After hearing that I blinked back the tears and tried to steady my breathing. The last thing I needed to do was to have a panic attack in front of the band and give them the impression that I am unable to work under pressure. I changed my position in my seat; back straight and legs crossed and in my most professional voice I stated;
“Look, I know you are angry and feel like the whole tour is going to literally destroyed BUT, I have been up all night because Jared informed me last minute and I dedicated half my night to reading everything I could over and over again. I am very good at my job and if you let me, I would like to prove that to you.”
Alan looked over at Austin. “At least she’s professional” he stated, the remark clearly meant for Jared’s lack of professionalism. “Ah, there’s just a slight problem, Victoria…” Alan began nervously. “See, we’ve already chosen our beds and Austin, Phil and Tino are sharing a room so the only spare bed is in my room…” He looked towards the ground and I quietly laughed.
“I am completely fine with that Alan, I’ve had to deal with worse” I said with a smile.
“ooh pray tell” Austin winked at me. I looked at him and laughed.
“All Time Low tour bus, the company screwed up and gave us four single beds, not five. One night we had all been drinking and we all ended up in a bed because the couch was taken by a friend of theirs so I had to share a single bed with Jack Barakat.” I said, cringing at the memory.
“How was it?” Alan rested his head in the palms of his hands, faking a curious look.
“Let’s just say, when Jack Barakat pokes you in the backside at 2 in the morning, it’s not with his fingers.” Alan and Austin howled with laughter.
“I’m glad my pain is entertaining for you!” I pouted my lip and faked a look of sadness before laughing with them.
After Alan, Austin, Tino, Aaron and Phil had interrogated me, they all started doing their own thing; Austin was on his phone, as well as Tino and Phil, and Alan had disappeared somewhere in the bus, so I decided to make my way to Alan’s room…My room… Our room? Whatever. I grabbed my laptop, phone and the chargers in one hand and two bags and my suitcase in the other hand and I carefully walked to the room. Once I arrived, something I had not anticipated happened; the door was shut and none of my hands were free. I used my foot to knock on the door but as soon as I was about to tap it, the door flew open and my foot went through the now empty space. I couldn’t control my balance and I fell face first into a shirtless Alan and because I had been carrying a lot of heavy items Alan couldn’t steady the both of us so we both went crashing into the ground. My laptop was safe was I had held on to it for dear life and soon as we landed on the floor I threw it and my phone onto the nearest bed. One of my hands was supporting my wait, the other was tangled in my bags. My suitcase was still standing at the door way, unaffected by my clumsiness. As I brought up my free hand to try and untangle my other hand I noticed that I was straddling Alan. I jumped to my feet and threw the bags next to my laptop and helped Alan up.
“Oh I’m so sorry Alan! Are you okay??” The last thing I needed was for the guitarist to be injured. That would be a great way to lose my job. Alan rolled his neck and stretched his arms.
“Yeah I’m fine, just if you wanted to be on top of me, all you had to do was ask” he said with a wink. I smiled back at him;
“I’ll try to remember that for next time then.”
“‘Next time?’” Alan smiled seductively. I shooed him out of the room with a smile on my face. Maybe this tour wasn’t going to be so bad after all.

Once again; hope you guys are enjoying it so far! I promise I will try and update this daily because I too have been a victim of waiting for an update and the wait just breaks my heart.

I am trying to start this fanfiction off really slow because I have read Fanfictions where it just seems so rushed. I also have a tendency to rush the story so if you feel like its being too rushed, I'll see how I can slow it down!
