Austin’s POV

I walked in my house, dropping my car keys on the table and hearing the footsteps coming down the stairs. “How was the signing?” Gielle asked, standing on her toes and kissing my cheek.

“Fine.” I answered. I heard someone walking down the stairs and recognized the cashier from the supermarket. He stared at me, fixing his shirt.

“Hey man, nice place.” He smiled. I grunted, walking to my kitchen and getting a Monster from the fridge. The front door opened and closed, signaling that the guy was gone and I felt hands on my shoulders.

“I’m sorry about bringing him. You just haven’t been here the past few days and I’ve been lonely.” Gielle apologized.

“Understandable.” I muttered. I felt her lips on my shoulder blade and I placed the can on the counter. I faced Gielle, setting her on the table and yanking her shorts off, taking her right there.

I zipped up my jeans, grabbing my can of Monster and pushing my hair back. Gielle was fixing her hair, her shorts already pulled up and she was sweating. She flashed me a smile and I just turned, walking back upstairs. Once I reached my room, my phone rang.

“What’s up?” I answered Aaron’s call.

“We’re invited to Warped, you in?” He asked. I saw Gielle walk in and she sat next to me, her hand running up my thigh and I pushed it away.

“Sure, I don’t mind.” I answered. Gielle stood up, straddling me and taking my shirt off.

“Alright, I’ll let the guys know.” I hung up with Aaron and picked Gielle up, throwing her on the bed. This is what most of my days consisted of. Gielle wouldn’t sign the papers and I was stuck with her. I relieved my stress with sleeping with her and writing music. I did what I did with her and nothing more. I felt no connection, no love, and no feelings. After we finished, she went to take a shower, leaving me on my bed. I looked through some emails before getting up and taking a shower myself.

The next morning, I heard moaning and screaming, knowing Gielle had brought someone over again. I ignored it, walking downstairs and began making breakfast. When I had finished eating, Gielle skipped down stairs and kissed me good morning.

“Hey baby, how did you sleep?” I continued drinking me juice, seeing a different guy walking down. He saw me and froze, looking at Gielle.

“You didn’t tell me you had someone.” He spoke, still standing there.

“Yeah, my husband, Austin Carlile, lead singer of ‘Of Mice & Men’.” She grinned. There it goes, the whole bragging deal.

“I think I heard of that, it’s a good book.” I rolled my eyes, looking at my glass of juice.

“Well, thanks for everything.” Gielle smiled at him. He waved, leaving and she turned to me.

“Did you make me something to eat?” She asked, looking around.

“No.” I answered, finishing my juice. Gielle glared at me and I stood up from the kitchen chair, pulling on my shoes and grabbing my keys. I walked out without even saying goodbye and made my way to my car. I drove around, getting to the beach and parked. I sat on the hood, looking out and just thought.

I hated all this. It was a huge cycle and I wanted out. I sighed heavily and rubbed my face with my hands. I want my daughter back, my love, and my old life.
