Bones Exposed [Sequel to: Those In Glass Houses]

Annemarie laid on the couch, her two year old daughter fast asleep in the nursery. She had recovered from a small cold and Anne was happy that she was better. The front door opened and in walked, Jack. He sighed heavily, closing the door behind him and turned to the couch, seeing Anne fast asleep. He smiled, carefully placing a blanket over her and kissing her forehead. He turned his attention to the baby monitor, hearing small noises and he knew that Blessing was awake. He walked over, poking his head and she was sitting in her crib, her small hands reaching for the dangling animals above her.

“Blessing, daddy’s home.” Jack whispered. Blessing turned to him, smiling and waving her arms for him.

“Daddy!” Blessing called causing Jack to laugh, picking her up and carrying her in his arms.

“How is my lovely daughter?” He asked, holding her and kissing her forehead. He walked to the rocking chair and sat down, softy singing Backseat Serenade to her.

Anne woke up, hearing Jack’s voice through the baby monitor. She got up, turning it off and carefully walking to the nursery. Jack was sitting on the rocking chair, Blessing fast asleep in his arms as he sang a soft song. Anne smiled, watching Jack get up and lay her in her crib. He turned, seeing Anne there and he walked over, smiling at her.

“Hey, did you have a good nap?” Jack asked, leaning on the doorframe. Anne smiled and nodded.

“Yeah, Blessing fell asleep and I took advantage too.” Anne giggled. Jack grinned, cupping her cheek and bringing her closer to him. He softly kissed her, a kiss she returned immediately and he smiled, picking her up. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms locked around his neck as he carried her to their bedroom.

“Since the baby is sleeping, let’s have some mommy and daddy time.” He said, laying her on the bed and moving to her neck. Jack had barely unbuttoned her jeans when a cry was heard and he chuckled, shaking his head.

“Cock blocked by Blessing.” Anne laughed sitting up.

“Four times in 24 hours. I’m calling Alex to babysit her.” Jack joked, walking out to get her. Anne buttoned her jeans, walking to the living room. She set the blanket on the floor and Jack came back, setting her down and let her play with her toys.

“The band got called for a tour.” He spoke, his eyes never leaving Blessing. Anne sat between his legs, intertwining her fingers with his as he laid butterfly kisses on her shoulder.

“What tour?” She asked, leaning back.

“Warped; so that’s three months without you both.” Jack whispered. Anne stayed quiet, watching her daughter try to reach a toy before standing and awkwardly walk to get it. Anne smiled, and Jack chuckled. “But the guys agreed to something-” Anne looked at Jack and he was smiling to her. “If you promise to let them babysit Blessing as well, you both can join us.” Anne grinned, squealing and hugging Jack tightly. They had been to three tours in the past and Anne wasn't able to go because Blessing was too young.

“We get to go on tour with you guys?” Jack returned the hug just as tightly when the front door opened and Alex stepped in with Rian and Zack.

“Someone heard the good news!” He laughed. Anne let go of Jack and stood up, hugging the three men.

“Thank you guys so much!”

“It’s no problem, we don’t think we can handle another tour with Jack’s constant whining and with Blessing growing so fast, we can’t miss it.” Rian smiled, walking over to Blessing and picked her up. “Come on baby, let’s go play some ball in the yard.” Blessing laughed, wiggling in Rian’s arms before he put her down and she ran to the back door. Zack chased after her when Rian grabbed the ball.

“We’ll be in the back, you two catch up. Jack did say Blessing had been interrupting.” Alex chuckled; Anne laughed and Jack thanked him. Anne watched as the three men and her daughter played in the back and Blessing kicked the ball to Rian. Anne let out a small laugh and Jack hugged her from behind.

“So, how does a nice, warm shower sound?” Jack asked. “I have a photo shoot tomorrow for AP magazine and I have to look my best.” Anne giggled let him drag her to the second floor bathroom.
