My hero

Laney layed asleep in her bed, her dream seemed so real to her, almost like it was real life. In her dream she had met Austin and they had fallen in love. They got married and had the perfect life with eachother. Her dream wasn't all false though. She really was in love with Austin, the problem was that he didn't even know she existed. Her glorious dream was suddenly interrupted by a pounding on her bedroom door.

"Laney! Get your lazy ass up and out of bed!" Her mom yelled.

She groaned, and rolled out of her bed. This was the start to her daily routine. Step two was to grab one of her many razor blades and go into her shower. The warm water spilt over her body and for a minute everything was perfect, but then reality snapped in and Laney remembered what she had to do next. She held her blade to her wrist and pressed it down into her skin, dragging it across with a steady hand. The first time Laney cut had been when she was 13...3 years ago. She cut for many reasons. One of which was her god awful parents. Another was because of her anorexia. She was fat, or so she told herself. She told herself that she deserved every single cut and scar on her disgusting body. Once Laney was done with her cutting she stepped out of the shower and headed to her shift at hot topic. She slammed the door and got in her car. The whole way to the mall she was blasting The Flood album. Of mice and men was her favorite band, and Austin Carlile had saved her from ending it all. she arrived at the mall and started walking, but as she was passing the hallway that led to the alley, she felt someone grab her wrist and pull her into the alley.

"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Laney screamed

But she felt a cold hand clasp over her mouth. In her ear, she felt a warm breathe, and someone whispered

"Stay quiet and I'll do this quick."

Laney felt her pants being tugged down and she looked at who was hurting her. It was a man who looked about 60. He started to un-button his pants, but before he could someone grabbed him by the shoulders a turned him around. The bigger man punched Laneys offender in the face repeatedly, but Laney didn't see who it was because she covered her eyes. Once the sound of punches was gone, Laney started to open her eyes and when she did she saw a hand extended towards her, helping her up. She stood up and looked into the eyes of who had saved her.

"Hey, I'm Austin." He said
