Like Loving A Lion (SEQUEL to I'm Not That Perfect)

It had been a week. Austin and I were impatiently waiting the phone call that would reassure us and let us know our baby was fine. Finally, it came.
"Hello?" I asked once Dr Hepburn called me.
I knew as soon as I heard his voice. "Avery."
"Yes?"
"Your baby is perfectly healthy and Austin was right. It's a boy!" He said.
I dropped the phone and screamed. Austin ran down the stairs thinking something was wrong. "What is it?" He asked.
"The baby's okay!" I cried. "It's a boy!"
"A boy!" He picked me up and spun me around. "A boy!"
"We're having a baby boy!" I cheered, kissing his lips. "A boy!"

"I am so pregnant!" I yelled in frustration as I hobbled into the party that our friends and family were throwing Austin and I at Alan's house.
"Are you just figuring that out? Where's Josiah's daddy?" Jaime asked.
"Off being dumb somewhere." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm right here." Austin said, shutting the door. "You left your purse in the car."
"No I didn't, I just wanted you to carry it." I said. "Is there food at this party? Oh my god. I want wine."
"You can't-"
"Do you think I don't know that?" I snapped. "Can one of you dashing young gentlemen that doesn't have a child inside of you move so I can sit down?"
Kellin stood up. "I remember when my girlfriend was pregnant. Come on, man. You need beer stat." He and Austin walked into the kitchen.
I sank down where he was sitting. "Four more months, Josiah. Then me and you are going to make your daddy's life hell."
"There's really only four more months?" Phil asked.
"My due date is July third." I nodded. "It's going by really fast."
"I want you to name it after me." Aaron said.
I looked around the room. "Wait, where's Vic?" They all looked away. "Where. Is. Vic." I stomped my way into the kitchen when no one would answer me, searching for Vic's mom. "Viv, where is Vic?'
"He was with Rachel, but they're on their way. He just called." She assured me. Rachel was his newest girlfriend and we absolutely hated each other.
I crossed my arms. "He lied to me?!"
"Baby, it's going to be okay. He'll be here in five minutes and then you can yell at him." Austin said, rubbing my shoulders in an effort to avoid a crisis.
"Rachel's going to call me fat again." I rolled my eyes.
"You're not fat, babe. You have a human inside of you." He said.
"I can't believe he lied to me." I said as my eyes welled up.
Austin led me into the foyer. "Don't cry. You have a lot of hormones in you today. I'm sure he was only trying to make you happy, okay? It's going to be fine."
I smiled. "I love you."
"So I'm not dumb anymore?" He laughed, planting a kiss on my lips.
The front door opened. "How's my favourite girl?" Vic grinned.
"You lied to me, but I don't really care anymore. I'm really pregnant and now that I think about it, I'm really hungry but also really peeved because I can't drink wine." I rambled.
"I love you." He laughed. "Come on, I'll feed you."
I sat at the table and Vic brought me pizza. "Thanks, Vicky. Where's your bitch?"
"I'm right here." Rachel rolled her eyes, coming into the room. "Wow. You look like a house."
"Why are you even here?" Austin snapped. "We're trying to celebrate this baby, and clearly you're not."
"Vic said I could come." She pouted. "Come on, don't be like that, Austin! If you want to ditch the whale and come with me."
"Get away from me." He cringed.
"You should definitely leave." Vic said.
"Seriously, Vic?" She asked. "Whatever. You'll be calling me before long."
"Why is it so hot in here?" I slowly made my way out of the chair and onto the cool tire floor, lying on my back.
"What the hell are you doing?" Austin asked.
"That girl is pregnant with my grandson. She can do whatever the hell she wants." Robert, Austin's dad, said.
I laughed. "Thanks, Robert. You're the best."
"I raised this one, didn't I? Austin's always been a troublemaker!" He replied.
"Ha! He hasn't changed much!" I laughed.
