I stood in the middle of the crowd, watching multiple bands set up, play, then leave. I watched a band called Pierce The Veil leave the stage then saw the OM&M background fall. Butterflies rose in my stomach as I saw Austin Carlile walk up.

"What's up Oxnard!" He yelled into the mic.

The crowd went wild, screaming. "This first song, is one that my friend wrote for his first love. Its called 'When You Can't Sleep At Night'."

The beat slowed, and Austin began singing.

I started crying in the middle of the song. I saw Austin searching the crowd before he pointed at me.

"You, right there, come here?" He gestured toward the stage and I walked up slowly, climbing onto the stage. He took my hand in his and continued to sing.

I had tears running down my face when I glanced around, the entire crowd was starring at Austin and I. I instantly felt heat rise to my cheeks. I guess he noticed because he whispered, "Don't worry. It's okay." into my ear.

I looked him in the eyes and our gazes were locked. It felt like we were completely alone. I fell in love. I've only fallen for one person like this before and I hope it doesn't end up like that one did.

~~FLASHBACK~~

"Shae, I promise I'll be back. I'll write you every day, I love you so much." Tears started welling up in his eyes.

"You promise, Alan? Why can't you just stay here with me?" I had tears already rolling down my face.

He held my hands and looked me in the eyes. I could tell that he didn't want to leave, but he had to. He pressed his lips against mine softly, tears streaming down both of our cheeks. He pulled away slowly, sighing.

"Baby, I have to go, my dad wants me to work in the family business, which means I have to go back to Ohio. I don't wanna leave you but I have to." He held me close as he kissed my forehead.

"I-I u-understand... G-goodbye A-alan." I said between choked sobs.

"I love you Shaelynn. I'll be back." He walked to the car, opened the door, and got in.

His father drove away slowly, allowing me to run after the car, screaming. I followed them out of the neighbourhood and down the road, until I couldn't keep up anymore. I collapsed on the ground, screaming and crying. I never wanted to see him again.

He wrote me everyday like he promised, until one day, the letters stopped. I assumed he moved on, and so did I.

~~END FLASHBACK~~

Austin let me stay on stage until the band was finished playing. They played "O.G Loko", "No Really, I'm Fine", "Ohioisonfire", "The Storm", and "Second & Sebring".

When they were completely finished, Austin walked backstage, headed straight toward me. I was probably blushing like a madman, but I didn't care.

"Why were you crying?" He asked softly.

"Um, its just that I had an old boyfriend that it reminded me of." I smiled.

"Oh, okay. What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Uh, its Shaelynn Rae, but you can call me Shae." I blushed even more.
