I was all for you

Alan looked out of the window of the bus. It looked like a building a horror movie would take place in he thought to himself. He stepped out with his bag in hand and followed the man into the building.

"Hello, you must be Alan?" A lady said, waiting at the front.

"um, yea I am." Alan said nervously

"I'm Monica and I'm going to be your nurse while your here. Just follow me and I'll show you around." Monica said

Alan followed her, and was thinking how he got so bad. A year ago, he would've never imagined that he would have lost his wife, had a child, and be in a psych center.

"Here is the cafeteria. You'll come here in the morning for breakfast, noon for lunch and then in the evening for dinner. I'm not gonna lie, the food could be better." Monica said with a smile.

Monica was pretty. Natural red hair, green eyes, pale skin and freckles. She had her hair tied up in a bun, and when she laughed, Alan got reminded of Alex's wide smile. The thought of Alex made him cry.

"Oh Alan, are you alright?" Monica asked him

"Can you just uh, take me to my room please?" Alan asked

"Of course. I'll give you the tour later." Monica said

Alan followed her through hallways until they arrived at a room. She opened the door and in it was a white bed, a cupboard and a connecting bathroom.

"Okay, so Take out your night clothes and then I'll take your bag," Monica said

"What?! Why do you have to take my bag?!" Alan asked

"Well, um, your on suicide watch." She said, looking down at her feet.

"Can I take out two pictures from my bag?" Alan asked.

"Of course." Monica said

Alan pulled out a picture of Alex he took of her on one of their first dates. She was sitting in a Feild of dandelions looking out at the sun. Then he pulled out a picture of her and Kyler on Christmas eve. They were both laughing at something.

"Alex..... Why did you have to leave so soon?" Alan sobbed.

"Alan, you'll probably feel better if you sleep." Monica said softly

"Ya, your right. Thanks Monica" Alan said, getting into his bed

"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow." Monica said, and then left his room.

Alan layed awake staring at the ceiling, thinking about how his life got turned upside down in two days.
