I was all for you

"Austin, you need to calm down." Beth said from outside of the car.

Austin was out of control, hitting the steering wheel, banging the seat back and forth, screaming as loud as he could. He was scaring Kyler.

"AUSTIN YOU NEED TO FUCKING CALM DOWN!" Beth screamed.

As soon as she said that, Austin stopped hitting and screaming, and he returned back into his normal self. he looked up at Beth's terrified face, and kylers red face and he realized what he had done. He felt so bad, he got out of the car and went to hug Beth.

"Beth I'm so sorry, I never meant to, oh my god, shit," Austin said, but when he went to hug her, she pulled away frantically.

"No, Austin, just drive us home." Beth said coldly

The drive home was quiet, because Beth was not talking to Austin, and Kyler fell asleep. When they pulled into the driveway, Beth got out holding Kyler and went into their bedroom. She tucked Kyler in gently and put 'When you can't sleep at night' on repeat. She walked downstairs and saw Austin with his face buried in his hands.

"Beth I'm so fucking sorry. I just, it just seems like everything is falling apart, and I want to be the strong one, but I'm not. Your being the strong one. Your best fucking friend died today, and you had what, like an hour to mourn? I'm so sorry that I can't be what you need. I'm so fucking sorry." Austin said.

"Austin, listen, I know this is hard for you, and I understand, and about Alex. I knew she was going to die soon. I had a lot of time to come to terms with this. Of course it's hard, but I had time. You don't always need to be strong and hold it together. You've held me countless times when I've had a breakdown, so it's my turn to be there for you. And about Kyler, it'll be a breeze. It's only a month, and it's for Alan. Austin, we'll make it through this." Beth said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You know I fucking love you right?" Austin said, looking up at Beth.

"I'm not quite sure why, but yes." Beth said with a giggle.

Austins hands moved to Beth's stomach and before she could move, he was tickling her. Soon he was ontop of her, putting his hands up her shirt. They started kissing passionately, and were about to start taking clothes off until a cry came from upstairs.

"MAMA!!!!" Kyler screamed.

"I'll go get him." Austin said. "Do I just give him a bottle until he falls asleep?" He asked Beth unsurely

"Yea, but rock him too, it'll make him sleep faster." Beth said.

Beth watched as Austin walked upstairs, and when he was out of sight, Beth ran to the kitchen and got out a pair of scissors. She pulled her pants down and opened the scissors and started cutting her thigh. Each new cut was over top of a scar from before. Beth broke. When she told Austin she came to terms with Alex, she lied. She had to, so he would feel Better. Once all of her old scars were replaced by fresh cuts, she cleaned up her thigh, and pulled her pants up. She had forgotten how good that felt.
