I was all for you

"Nolan, your phone!" Alex yelled to him from the kitchen.

She was stirring pasta sauce with one hand, and in her other arm, she was bobbing up and down her baby boy.

"Ya babe. Just a sec!" Nolan yelled back.

Alex could'nt stand the buzzing sound of Nolan's phone any longer so she put Kyler down in his high chair and she grabbed Nolan's phone but what she saw on the screen surprised her. Nolan had a message from a girl named Tasha. It said:

Tasha: You still good for 11?

Alex walked into her and Nolan's bedroom and saw him adjusting his bow tie for work.

"Um, who Is Tasha?" Alex asked

"Oh.... Um... Just my boss." Nolan said, not even looking over at Alex.

"Well than why would your boss be asking if you were good for 11 if your shift starts at 8?" Alex asked.

Nolan stopped adjusting his tie and turned to face Alex.

"Alex, I've been meaning to tell you this for awhile. Listen. These past months have been great. I love Kyler and you, but i dont know. Something with you feels distant, like you don't really want to be with me. It's like you just want someone to... I dont know, it's just that I need to move on. Tasha is my old friend. I met her again awhile back and we've been going out. Alex, listen I really love you, but it seems like you don't feel the same way. I'm really sorry. I'm leaving tonight."
Nolan said as he pushed past her, with a duffle bag in his hand.

Alex stumbled out of their- her bedroom in a daze. She went to their bathroom and pulled out her razor. She pulled off the top half and slammed it into the counter so all three blades fell out. She sat on the toilet and began to dig the blades into her wrists. She watched as the cuts beaded up with blood then dripped down slowly. Her cutting was interrupted by the sounds of Kyler crying in the kitchen. She walked over to him and picked him up with her un-cut arm.

"Sssshhhh, it's okay baby. Were going to be okay baby, I'm going to call daddy.... Your real daddy. Alan"
