Forgive Me- Part 1

Amelia POV

I was rushing around the house, making sure my guest room was all set up and clean for when Jason got here. It wasn't too bad but I had need using it as my study room for my psychology papers as well as a bit of an art studio so I had to relocate everything into cupboards.

I had just started vacuuming when someone knocked on the front door. I dropped the vacuum and ran to the door. I swung it open to see Jason standing there with his old footy bag. I immediately pulled him into a hug and he laughed.

"Hello to you too" he hugged me back before pulling away and pulling me into the house. "Spare room set up?"

"Yep! No! Wait!"

"What?" He suddenly stopped walking to the room.

"I'm still vacuuming"

"Seriously?" He laughed "Mil it's me, not the King. You know I only actually need a mattress on the floor and I would be happy"

"I know but you haven't stayed with me in ages so I wanted it to be nice."

"Thanks sis" he smiled softly before walking to the spare room. I followed him to collect the vacuum and saw him paused smiling

"What's up?"

"I hadn't realised you started art again..." He indicated to the artworks I had left in the room "I'm glad, you're really good at it. You have no idea how pissed off Eliza and I were when you stopped"

"Ye, I dunno I just didn't find it interesting anymore."

"So why did you start it up again"

"Well, a few weeks ago I met this guy, we really clicked and I dunno, something he said made me want to start again, I'm playing piano again as well"

"Seriously? That's great Mil! Who is he? When can I meet him? When did you ditch Isaac? Honestly I'm glad that you did, he wasn't good for you"

"Slow down! Bloody hell!" I laughed "His name is Jaime, you can't he's an American and he's leaving on the 24th, I didn't, and yea... I know but I don't want to hurt him"

"The 24th? So why can't I meet him?

"Well, he's in a band and he's touring, so he's only stopping here again for like a day before he heads off and we kind of got into a huge fight and I haven't spoken to him in like two weeks"

"Shit, what happened?"

"Well he failed to mention that he was the bass guitarist to my favourite band, and he knew they were my favourite"

"So you cut him off? Amelia! Honestly what did you expect him to say? Hey I'm famous let's chill? I know you, if he had said anything you would have kicked him to the curb for being an arrogant arsehole"

"But he lied to me!"

"He probably just wanted to be normal!"

"Still..." He sighed and motioned for me to sit on the be with him. I swear that 90% of the time it feels like I'm the younger one.

"Okay, Jaime aside, why are you still with Isaac if you know he isn't good for you?"

"I-I don't want to hurt him..."

"Mil, you're probably hurting him now, when was the last time you spoke to him?"

"I've only spoken to him twice since the day I met Jaime"

"Exactly. He probably won't even be surprised when it happens. But you can't just keep pulling him along for the ride okay?" I nodded. "Good. Now I know I'm intruding on your 'not doing anything' plans for your birthday so I'm gonna go out all day okay? I'll go do the shopping, I'll go to a movie or two in civic and then go out for the night and leave you to your own devices okay?"

"Thanks Jason"

"No prob, you're my sister, I have to help you out sometimes"

I smiled then stood up and grabbed his hand and dragged him to the kitchen.

"It's lunch time! Let's get you some food okay?" I said as I started pulling ingredients out of the fridge.

"Sounds good"

We spent the rest of the day just sitting around watching movies until about 9 when I decided that I wanted to go to bed so that I would wake up early in the morning.
